ThiefThane
My PC is running Windows 7 64-bit, and I currently have the latest version of Vortex installed (as of 6/6/20) which I believe is version 1.2.11 (?) I can't check what version I'm using on the application itself because of the error message that appears on startup that I can't bypass in any way. As previously mentioned, whenever I load up the Vortex application, I receive an error message pop-up instantly on startup (see screenshot below). The issue started after my computer ran the CHKDSK function. Once the disc checking scan had finished and I'd logged on, I tried to load up Vortex only to receive the aforementioned error message. Before the CHKDSK scan I had had no issues at all. The only step I have taken to attempt to solve the issue was to uninstall and reinstall the program, which had no effect on the problem. HadToRegister
Looks like one of your database files is missing.Might be something CHKDISK decided was corrupt and removed
ThiefThane
I see, is there anything I can do about this or is it just permanently broken now?
HadToRegister
Have you tried reinstalling Vortex?I'm not sure if that will restore the file (I'm a bit iffy whether those are created as you use them) but it's worth a shotDid this only happen after you updated? ThiefThane
I have tried reinstalling yeah, it's had no effect on the issue though as far as I can tell. I immediately tried reinstalling Vortex upon first experiencing the problem but it persisted regardless. This happened right after CHKDSK had finished, previously nothing like this had happened.
