WOTSaMOD Posted June 6, 2020 Posted June 6, 2020 Sorry to be boring with a total noob question! :ermm: Is there a link anyone can provide me with for totally BASIC step by step instructions for installing MODS from here? :geek: Specifically, I'm trying to install mods for Pillars of Eternity: Deadfire, onto my MAC, on which I installed the game using GOG.COM I've tried following the instructions on the site, but they don't follow all the way through at the same basic level. Thanks in advance! FYI Mac OS is 10.14.6
BeowulfSchmidt Posted June 6, 2020 Posted June 6, 2020 Gopher has also done a very good set of Vortex tutorials, albeit for Windows and focusing on Bethesda games. Highly recommend. Search youtube for "Gopher vortex".
WOTSaMOD Posted June 7, 2020 Author Posted June 7, 2020 Thanks BeowulfSchmidt, but as stated, I am using a Mac - therefore surely I need a Mac specific program, or at least a version of Vortex that works on a Mac? There doesn't seem to be any indication of whether or not Vortex will work on a Mac, and so I assume this version is for a PC only, in which case this is not going to help me. Is anyone able to help with a MAC specifically?
WOTSaMOD Posted June 8, 2020 Author Posted June 8, 2020 Is there a version of Vortex for a MAC? If not, what should I use?? Thanks in advance.
Community Manager Pickysaurus Posted June 9, 2020 Community Manager Posted June 9, 2020 Vortex is currently Windows only. We might be able to release Mac/Linux versions at some point but that's not a priority right now. You may have to install mods manually while playing on a Mac for many games.
zixi Posted June 15, 2020 Posted June 15, 2020 Can you run Vortex via a program that allows you to run Windows apps? Just curious... been years and years and years and years since I used a Mac PC... I can understand why a Mac/Linux version isn't a priority but I still hope that one day it will arrive...
