Thankyou Vortex team

Hello,

Simple question really, So I had to reinstall windows and this means of course reinstalling Vortex. Well I had previously used Vortex to create a heavily modded but stable skyrim SE, A great feat if I do say so myself. However whenever I try to use the old mod folder vortex created in the hopes of using those mods on the current skyrim again seamlessly it tells me that the mod directory must be empty.

Is there any way I can use old mod installation folders or any workaround that would let vortex behave like it was never uninstalled? Or do I need to reinstall all of the mods again from the site?

I tried just copying over the files from the old folder into the new but Vortex was not happy about this and I swear it told me mum.

Thanks for any help with this or any future development into making this an easier to handle issue.

Edit: I managed to mess up the title, I am sorry about that though Thanks regardless for your work.

Before you reinstalled Windows, you should've made a backup of your C:\users\YOUR NAME\appdata\roaming\Vortex folder, then you could've restored it, and continued from where you left off.
That's where all the setting and mod info is stored.

For your Mod Folder problem...

Just simply move the mods out of that folder, to a temporary folder.

Use Vortex to select the now empty folder, then hit apply, then move all the mods from the temporary folder back into the Mod folder
