SteelRat1962
Hello All, I am trying to uninstall Vortex, the drive where it was installed no longer exists, but Windows thinks it's still there, and won't let me install a new copy. Whenever I try to use the uninstall function under Win 10 apps and features, it tells me the folder doesn't exist, and gives me no other options. Help! HadToRegister
Go into your c:\users\YOURNAME\appdata\roaming\ and delete the Vortex directory
SteelRat1962
Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately that didn't make a difference. Same error. There is an "ignore" option, but clicking that makes Windows search for the file, which is eventually not found. It asks if I want to delete the shortcut, I say yes, then it just goes away. So I try to install Vortex again, and I'm back at the beginning of the maze. No cheese for me.
HadToRegister
I'm curious, did the drive that Vortex used to be on Fail, or could you have uninstalled vortex BEFORE removing the drive?
SteelRat1962
Solved. I was using the one-click install. I switched to custom install location and I'm successfully installed.
