Vortex not allowing me to install Skyrim Mods

Okay so this has probably been posted a million times but I just built a new PC and tried to install Vortex to mod my favorite game ever Skyrim.

I encountered 2 main problems with the program and don't really know what I am doing so any help would be nice.

1st problem: I installed Vortex on my D drive (2nd hard drive where I keep all my games and media) but every time I opened it it created a second Vortex file in the C (main/os) drive.

2nd problem: Installed Vortex, and added Skyrim to my games, but get a message saying Mods can not be deployed. I looked up multiple fixes online and nothing I tried helped.

Currently uninstalled Vortex from my PC until I can get some help with the issue. Also not currently playing Skyrim until I can get some help with this issue.

So yeah any feedback/help would be hot.

Thanks in advance!

That's because even though you installed Vortex on your D drive, the DEFAULTS for the Mod Staging Folder and Downloads folder are to go into the appdata\vortex\ folder on C:\

You need to change the folder locations USING VORTEX
The mod staging folder has to go on the same drive as the game, the download folder can go on any drive.

Also, DO NOT put the Mod Staging Folder inside the STEAM Folder

Had to Register is right. If I remember correctly, there is a button on the 'mod' tab that says 'suggest'. For some reason this button doesn't show on Had To Registers screenshot, but it's there. I simply hit that 'suggest' button and it fixes itself. Then hit apply.

I'll try to get a screenshot showing the suggest button. At work now and internet is s*** today. I'll come back when I can upload a pic.

EDIT: Here is a screen showing the suggest button...
