anissa12
I made a mod with the TES Construction Set. All objects but one item I put in a little room were already in the set. Dependent only on MW. I added one new item with a unique name. In game, the mod is perfect EXCEPT every menu item is preceded by a lower case letter, mostly "s", as in sAttributeStrength or sOk. I have cleaned it with ESPCleaner. The menus haven't changed. This is my second attempt to make this mod. I cleaned an earlier version with Wyre Mash and TesTool, both to no avail. Some unexpected problems appeared when playing the earlier version of my mod. The trainers' dispositions lowered each session. Then the cost of training dropped to 1 with one trainer. The points per skill changed were normal while training, but once I hit the level up, I didn't receive the full 5 points per 10 skill upgrades. Or I got ten attribute points for only five skill upgrades. That was when I decided to re-make the entire mod. I never had this problem with earlier mods I made. I'm stumped. I even tried saving the thing with both Tribunal and Bloodmoon, which resulted in the same gmsts plus the loss of certain dialogs. I am using TCS with Steam. That's the only thing I can think of that is different from my previous mods. Can you shed some light here? I'm going crazy.
Dragon32
UESP has a good write-up on GMST Contamination, hope it helps.
anissa12
These are evil GMSTs, I've just confirmed. I can't understand why Wyre Mash and TesTool didn't take care of the problem. Nor did GMST Vaccine. I'm not savvy enough to use Tes3cmd. It's scary-looking. The more I read, the more puzzled I am. I've started a THIRD version of my mod, dependent on Morrowind, Bloodmoon and Tribunal, but the errors persist. The upside is, now I am an expert at manipulating the camera angle. ;)
Dragon32
GMST Vaccine has worked for me in the past, as has TESTool for cleaning after creation. I don't understand why they're not working for you. Good luck.
leonardo2
I use Yacoby's escog when I want to get rid of evil GMST. Works every time, no problem so far. However, be aware though that escog can also delete other GMST, so be careful not to delete non-evil GMST.
Oblivionaddicted
Everytime you modify a mod that only depends of Morrowind.esm using the Construction set the GMST's are modified. In addition to to the mentioned tools you can easily cancel these changes using Enchanted editor. Edited June 23, 2020 by Oblivionaddicted
