I realise everyone here , or the Fan Vortex Group is very upset that I posted A thread informing of an update issue in the program ....

Isn't that bad ???

This Forum section as far as I know is Vortex Manager Support thread ???!!!!

So I posted an issue related to the Manager last update , Is it a bad thing ???

Then came the Illuminated people that in every post just Troll around cause they have everything fine and no issues etc , etc...Typical..

Sorry but yes it cause me CTD 2 times so for that reason I opened vortex and Shazam , updated restart and Shazam again pop out message about conflicts , and you know what ??..Yes you guessed it , Shazam the issues were in fact about files that have nothing to do with the Mods working or not but cause it asks for conflict resolve it asks for Run FNIS , And cause the said conflicts never stop to come again , After an hour I was still resolving conflicts , XML info files , Readme files and Meta ini files tons of them , fixed it and , yes shazam 20 more to fix , again and again , so cause I had installed a new animation I was literally forced to open vortex to do it and to run FNIS and from that I can not play the game anymore..

If this is not a Support thread then the upset people would be so kind to tell me when and the exact parameters that define a support thread and the kind of issues one can post !

With this said ...I am done here .. Have a nice day ..

So since this is Nexus' screw-up, and Nexus sells a premium service for mod downloads, will people who paid for premium get a pro-rated refund for the days that Nexus' mod download app doesn't work?

Nexus Premium charges by the day. So why should anyone pay for a service they can't use because of a bug Nexus introduced into its own mod downloader?

Oh Please, don't even drag down this thread with such an off-topic and ridiculous post.

This doesn't affect Mod Downloads, the Download App still works, so your point is moot.

it's completely unrelated to downloads, it's just a bug, that people can avoid by turning off AUTOMATIC UPDATES in Vortex.

Also, you don't have to Pay to be able to download

No, the fact that Nexus has a paid service to download mods is very much relevant to downloading mods.

It's precisely related to downloads because you can't launch a game with mod conflicts in Vortex, and the current Vortex update created those conflicts. Turning off automatic updates does not help after the fact. I get it that you want to simp for Nexus, but I don't need your help to decide what is or is not relevant to a problem Nexus created.

No, Nexus is not a paid service to download mods, you can download mods WITHOUT PAYING.

Get your facts straight and stop Hijacking this thread, it's a support thread.

And stop with the trendy new Internet words like "Simp", before it was "White Knight" and "SJW", but you're just going with the trends, can't be an individual, and instead go with the "Herd Mentality"

You can always LAUNCH THE GAME WITHOUT VORTEX RUNNING, you only need to use Vortex to install the mods,

If you already have the mods installed, then you can just run the game using SKSE or whatever.

It's not like the BUG, yes a BUG, a MISTAKE, (The way you talk you make it sound like it was on purpose) is ALREADY BEING WORKED ON.

So, you can put away your pitchfork and torch, and your faux outrage, as much as you want to burn someone at the stake...

BTW, this is the last post I see from you, so don't bother, I'm not wasting my time on a pointless non-argument

This is a response for anyone else who is a premium member wondering why they should be paying for enhanced access to download and install mods when Nexus has made that service inaccessible.

No one disputes that it's possible to download Nexus mods for free. The issue is that Nexus also sells a premium service for enhanced mod downloads.

No one said you need Vortex running to play a game. What you do need is for Vortex not to have any mod conflicts before a game can launch. As people in this thread are aware, the current update for Vortex has created numerous mod conflicts that did not exist before.

If you have been downloading and installing mods since this update, it affects your ability to play the game those mods are for. There isn't any reason to foresee that using the service you're paying for would cause your game to be unplayable because of mod conflicts that Nexus' own mod installer created. If you're expected to assume that bugs like that could happen at any time, it would mean 1. never attempt to download and install mods and 2. never update Vortex. And if a premium user is supposed to assume either or both of those things, why pay for Nexus premium?

Whether or not the Nexus-introduced problem was intentional or not is irrelevant. The issue is, who should bear the cost of that? You as a premium member, who continues to be charged while the service you paid for can't be used? Or Nexus, who created the problem?

As a side note, if one wants to talk about trends and herd mentality, the trend and herd mentality in the video game industry is when a service provider (whether it's Nexus or a studio) makes an error that makes a product or service temporarily unusable, the customer should just keep paying for it while the service provider figures it out. Why should customers accept that they're the ones to carry the financial costs of a service provider's problems?
