Do you play Final Fantasy?

I have never played it, but my nextdoor neibohr is playing FF 10

right now!

I can listen to the "funnie " music witch goes on my nerves sometimes!

He seems happy and leaves me alone!

 

What is FF tactics the hole Gameidea seems to be like a Jump and run game, without jumping!

 

Don´t take me wrong, maybe it is good and I will just never find out!

From what I could see the animation is quite cool!

God, I hate FF8 with all the hate that I can muster to hate. Bland storyline, not a single character who wasn't wooden, not nearly enough sidequests, a mini-game made mediocre by the addition of the random rule, and the ever popular ability to beat the game in under 20 hours. For four disks, I damn well better get SIXTY hours of gameplay. So yeah, I don't like FF8 that much. FF6 is my FF of choice.

I am informed that one of the FF games - 8 I am told - had an option which allowed the player to make the strategic decision of whether to save the cafeteria hot dogs or not...

 

Such noble quests - how can you not be moved by their grandeur?

 

I haven't played any of them, btw, and the music to FF8 really did get on my nerves... :lol:

Personally, I think Sephiroth was one of the coolest baddies ever! Plus, I think that FF7 contains the coolest cut scene ever: Sephiroth just got done destroying your home town, everything around is in flames, he looks up at you, then turns away and walks through the flames. Oh that still gives me the chills *shudders*

Kefka > Sephiroth

 

Seph was killing people who were already guilty in some mama's boy attempt to create a paradise, Kefka poisoned an entire castle full of people BECAUSE HE COULD.

 

Another thing- One of the two succeeded in taking over the world, and it wasn't Seph. Nuff said.

FF7 was entertaining, damn near unlocked everything in that game...twice. But for all it's fun, there is something too cutesy about the series, I prefer darker RPG's like Fallout.

 

I realized an earlier post mentioned a user mentioned that they never saw FF7 out for PC. Just a heads up, a port from the Playstation actually was developed for the PC. It was actually well done, I liked it more thatn the PS1 version(cause it looked better) gameplay was the same so that was good.

Sephiroth is THE coolest baddie ever. I mean come on, who can take on a guy that can just pop out of nowhere, cut you in 2, and then disapear just like that?

I'm with SothThe69th all the way.

It was a tough call, but I finally had to go with 6 over 7, simply because the story was a bit more interesting to me. I started gaming back in the days of Intellivision, so 'old school' graphics don't bother me. For me, story trumps graphics every time. And how can you beat Kefka's sick laugh?

 

And I REALLY hated 8, too. The "hero" was a mopey little weiner who couldn't see that Quistis was INFINITELY hotter than that spoiled little richgirl Shannon-Doherty-lookalike phoney 'revolutionary' wannabe. I have a list of what was wrong with 8 that goes on and on, but I don't want to risk breaking my keyboard by pounding the keys while I spew my bile and hatred against that 'game'. :angry: :angry: :angry: :angry: :angry: :angry: :angry: :angry:
