EnaiSiaion
As of now, when you upload a new mod, you are discouraged from using the hide function and uploading content at your own pace, because by the time you unhide the mod it will be too old to qualify for New Mods and fall off the radar right away. If you want maximum airtime you have to physically add all content as fast as you can immediately after creating your mod page. God forbid you get repeated gateway errors, your screenshots get rejected or your bbcode just refuses to look right. Perhaps the mod could be hidden by default and unhiding it when you are done supplying content would spawn it at the top of New Mods? This would enable people to set up their mod page without having to rush through the process and improve the user experience for people looking at the very latest mods. :)
Lanceor
I second this idea. I'm not sure how much coding will be required to implement it though - if the "Most Recent" is sorted by mod number, it may be quite hard.
steve40
I don't think that's necessary.Just make a permanently hidden mod page who's sole purpose is for testing the draft bbcode and uploaded images/screenshots of all your other mods.Once you're happy with the bbcode and images, make your "real" mod page, copy and paste the bbcode from your "test" page, and upload the file and images.Unhide your new page. Done. You can then recycle the hidden "test" page for preparing your next mod, or delete it.
Hickory
Personally, I find the trend towards popularity contests quite sad -- it makes me glad I'm on hiatus from modding -- and I'm certain that the staff have bigger issues to focus upon when it comes to site coding.
