Need help to recover my vortex data after a reinstallation

Hi everyone,

 

For the second time in few mounths, I have to reinstall Vortex after some computer issues. Each time, the SSD where most Vortex infos (mods...) and steam games (skyrim SE) are stored (G:/) was not affected, only the system disk is, with windows and different programs including Vortex (but not its data). So, I have on C:/ windows and Vortex, and on G:/ Skyrim SE and Vortex data ; C:/ must be formatted, but G:/ is still intact. The first time that issue happened on my computer I haven't succeeded to recover my Vortex data (after reinstalled it on C:/) : after many trials I have resigned to mod my Skyrim SE from the start, but it takes me about 2 weeks before I have a good enough result. This time I hope to recover my Votex data. Anyone can help me ? The main issue is Vortex don't accept when I try to point my download folder (in Votex settings) on G:/, Vortex ask an empty folder, which is obviously not because it contain my previous Vortex data.

Hi there,

 

If you can access the %AppData%\Vortex folder from your old install, simply copy that to the same place in your new one.

 

If you cannot access it you'll need to set things up again from scratch I'm afraid.

Unfortunately the appdata folder was on C:/, I have loose it when my SSD suddenly died. So, I need to start from scratch, but thanks for your help.
