No deployment after FNIS install; game button reverts to pre-purchase on Steam

Very much appreciate any advice or feedback on this strange issue.

I am on Vortex version 1.2.20 and trying to mod Skyrim SE. I am using Windows 10, x64 and have 8GB RAM.

I have 24 mods installed and have been directly following Gopher's tutorial videos to the letter. After watching and following the FNIS Installation guide (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=REJ6ooyTuLY&list=PLE7DlYarj-DfYgxma5znKGYEqAHDU_WU-&index=11&t=39s), I attempted to launch the game from Vortex, which I had been doing for several days with no problem prior to the FNIS installation.

The game would not launch, took me to a web browser Steam window requiring me to age verify, and then on to the Skyrim SE page on Steam.

I read the forums and someone suggested having Steam open before attempting to launch from Vortex. When I open steam, my account is there and the game is in my library, but it says "Purchase."

I have had no problems loading the game prior to the FNIS installations according to Gopher's instructions. I then followed his instructions and disabled/then removed FNIS and related mods (outlined in video) from the system, closed everything, restarted computer, and I am still unable to load the game from Vortex, and the game remains in "Purchase" state on Steam.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions on how to resolve this.

Thanks for that, HTR. That's kind of a major relief, actually.

 

Checked steam forums as well. Here's the fix, in case anyone else reads this.

 

Clear Download Cache and restart steam. Steam > Settings > Downloads > Clear Download Cache. Let Steam restart and log back in and game should show up in your library now.
