Vortex won't open (frozen on the opening logo)

I just updated windows 10 and now vortex won't open. I click to launch it, the program appears in my task manager, but it the actual manager will never open. It was working just fine before the update, and after, it's just stuck. It won't crash or provide an error message, so I'm not sure what other info I can really give. The version I updated to is Windows 10 Pro version 1903.

Some things I've already tried: Vortex isn't being run as an administrator, I've reinstalled vortex from scratch, I have windows defender and "Controlled folder access" is disabled.

That's all the ideas I had, so if there is anything else I could try or any info I can try and provide to anyone to help, That'd be great. I know Microsoft loves to change your settings on updates and the like, so I'm leaning towards that being the cause, but I've got no leads to follow this up.

Okay, you're right. My not super computer savy self conflated some updates. I just upgraded to pro version 1909, which I believe is the most recent one. Still the same issue, stuck on the loading screen.

The update the broke vortex for me was updating the microsoft store. The issue I was encountering was that microsoft was blocking me from installing non-microsoft programs when I tried to install an esp merging program to clean up my mod-list. After I updated that, I was able to download the program, but now I'm totally locked out of vortex.

If you run Windows Defender, turn off "Controlled Folder Access"

Mouse over the Vortex mini window in the task bar, hit ALT + SPACE, see if the option to MOVE is able to be picked, if so, select it, and use the arrow keys to move it back onto your screen, it could've gotten bumped off the viewable area by the other program installed and changing resolution or whatever

I just tried the alt + space thing, nothing happened. Vortex doesn't appear on my taskbar when I start the program up because I think it's failing to boot. The above image is just what stays on my screen for an indefinite amount of time.

I've also looked at whatever logs it leads and this seems to be a common occurrence every time I open up vortex. The below logs come after it seemingly checks for all the games (whether I have them or not). Could it be caught on looking for something that isn't there so it just kinda craps out?

not that, your windows event log?

if its not starting that suggests some kind of issue with your system - look in your windows event log to see if there's anything there.
