Skyrim Weapon Modding Tutorials?

Ok, so I wanted to learn how to make a weapon mod for Skyrim (this includes the mesh, the texture, and putting it in the creation kti). I have not found a single tutorial online, and was wondering if anyone could refer me to some.

Maybe a "How to use google" tutorial should be made someday, googling that you get 3 different complete tutorials on 3 different 3d modelling programs. You also get TheMalfazar's tutorial which is on pdf and covers every single aspect of custom weapon creation and also one by InsanitySorrow covering the importing part among many other. So it must be a matter of laziness and honestly, if you can't even spend 10 seconds using google how can you expect to create a decent custom weapon?

Is Skyrim modding pretty dead? I want to make mods regardless for it, but the community seems absent :/
