Somebody66
Hey guys! I have an issue with my Fallout NV game.I've just reinstalled it a few days ago, with a pretty lightweight modlist (no script-heavy mods, no conflicting mods even avoiding those that need patches to work together), using familiar mods from years past, and for some reason the game didn't start, like I had a load order issue or something. So I started disabling the mods, to root out the issue, but I wasn't succesfull.I did a clean install today, and the same thing happened. I started with really small mods, that are compatible with almost anything with no dependecies but still, couldn't even get to the main menu! :( Now for some specifics:-I'm using the GOG version of Fallout NV (all the DLC inculded)-I'm using Vortex 1.12.20-No NV SE-Right now, for example, I ONLY have the "Goodsprings reborn" installed (which I used many times over the years, without a problem) and the game wont start (this is not the only mod with this prob).-With "New Vegas Flora Overhaul" (a much bigger mod) the game starts just fine I'm no stranger to loadorder issues, but as I said, I have 1 mod installed and no mod order to speak of...Thank you in advance for the help! rmm200
After you did a reinstall, did the game run OK with no mods? How are you launching the game? Are you starting a new game or using an old save?Look in My Games/FalloutNV and see what you are using for ini files. Any old ones there? Until you get Fallout NV running reliably - there is no point in using Vortex or any mod manager.
Somebody66
Yes, I did start it before installing the mods, and it worked. After that I started my modding with the Wasteland Flora Overhaul and it still worked, as I mentioned in my post. But after that I started having problems.I've even uninstalled WFO to root out any conflicts! :(I'm trying to play a New Game, but I can't even get to the Obsidian logo! HadToRegister
Keep in mind that some of the FONV mods were not zipped up properly at the time to work with a mod manager, because Mod Managers were fairly new to the scene. It's always best to check each mod before you download by clicking on PREVIEW right below the Download with Mod Manager button, that way you can see the layout of the contents of the zip file.
