Graphics Mods

Sorry for a reasonably vague thread, it's been years since I modded skyrim and forgot all the research that goes into this.

I'm starting with the texture and graphic mods for my game. My PC can handle most things I assume. 2070 Super, Ryzen 5 3600 16gb Ram.

That being said, I have no idea what texture mods to go with in terms of landscapes and towns and what covers what, what works together etc.

I see people using:

Skyland

Tamrielic Textures

Skyrim 2020 Paralax.

Noble Skyrim

So far I've got the Base of SRO, Enhanced Texture Details, SMIM.

What's the go to for people these days for textures, outside and inside. Anyone have a mod list?

There's no "go to" texture overhaul these days. Thanks to a lot of talented modders, we have several extremely nice options to choose from. All the texture overhauls you mentioned are excellent work. You can't go wrong with any of them.

You should also definitely add "Skyrim HD" by luxor8071 to the list. It's extremely high quality and covers most of Skyrim. It's a very large and very comprehensive landscape and buildings overhaul. TBH, that's the base of my current texture setup.

Texture mods are a matter of personal taste. Besides that, you can always change textures. They don't affect your save games in ayn way. You're free to experiment at any time.

Because of that my advice would be not to ask what others do. See and choose for yourself.

^^ What he said.

If you just want a list of the most endorsed/downloaded "Model and Texture" mods for SSE, then you can perform a simple search on the nexus easily enough:

Just as mentioned, though, it all comes down to a matter of taste when it comes to aesthetic improvements.
Take your time and find what suits you. It is not a given that you will like a widely-endorsed mod more than an obscure one that might otherwise go unnoticed.
On that note though, popular mods are more likely to include patches for others, so don't worry (at least initially) about what goes with what. There's almost always a work-around.
