killbain
what are the best player home mods?
Deleted3507349User
I prefer Homeless In Goodsprings. Simple, no load screens, and easily accessible with everything you need. It's also very logical.
Sirropoo
Definitely no shortage in Player home mods, but there are basic considerations. Do you want to maintain the game as barren, life is hard senario ? ..then you want something simple.Do you want it big, multi room, lots of storage, lots of clutter, state of the art feel ?Do you want to start using it immediately ? ...some mods have associated quest which would delay your access to it.Do you want it near the game start position, ie, Goodsprings ? The game is object intensive, being tons of pickup items, you would want a storage system that doesnt make you dizzy yet meets your needs in being "organized". Once you start storing items, its a pain in the butt to "replace" the mod because you have to retrieve ALL your stored items, hold it somewhere else while you swap out mods then restore items to thier new home ..so, before storing items, make sure the mod is the one you will be happy with. gamefever
Houseing,I thought it was a bit off that Houseing was not answered right away in FNV vanilla as it was in F03. Shelter being a very important need for anyone, in the world of Fallout it didn't make any since that Shelter was not the 1st quest at startup of FNV. -I do find in F03 having to disarm an atomic bomb is a bit much however you could always pay for housing at Moriarties.-Fallout New Vegas, I have to run all the way to Novac to get housing. I guess you could count a number of abandoned houses as shelter. The thing is it's a primary need, it goes well with immersion to have Housing as a main quest. I hope in F04 they insure that you get some housing options and get one real soon. It doesn't need to be over the top but it should be a top item on the list for a would be wasteland survivor to get something that is "safe". I use Underground Hideout v4-4 no problems used FOMM for install, since I don't have the DLC's just yet I make sure that I don't use the DLC options esp's in the main download which is likely why you were crashing. I'm also partial to the Shack in Primm, just use the search box for the towns under the "building" catagory to find suitable housing options for your game. ManleySteele
There is plenty of available housing in early, vanilla New Vegas. They have no sorters and such, but early in the game it's not an issue. If you are just looking fo a bed, look in the broken trailors. Safe storage becomes an issue over time, but there are places in Goodsprings where it is available. I won't spoiler it, but if you can't find it you can google it. Don't mean to be a realism Nazi, but your first expierence can only be new once.
ToyTrains1
I use both Underground Hideout 4.4 and Vault-HQ_NV v.1.1. Having the vault available in Goodsprings when you start the game, when you really need it, and accessible with a simple quest that's easily doable for the beginning player, is quite valuable, especially if you're not terribly familliar with the game. And the underground hideout, though gettting a little long in the tooth is still one of the very best player homes available.
