Crashes, slow gameplay and load times

I have been having major slow downs and crashes while playing Skyrim for a while now and I thought I should probably get these problems sorted out before the game becomes unplayable, which it is fast becoming. Ever since I've had mods installed my game has been a bit slow but it would only last for a moment and then work fine, but now that I have quite a lot now it is getting slower and slower and now its at the point where the game freezes during exploration, walking around town and in the middle of combat, which is annoying in the game as the enemies can still attack me. It even freezes in enclosed spaces like houses, but not as badly or often. So I decided to try and get it sorted out as its now getting to the point were I can only play for a couple minutes before the game either crashes, stays on the loading for ages and does a VERY slow fade in to the area or that I get bored waiting up to 10 minutes for the game to catch up. So hopefully someone will be able to help me find out what is causing such a slow down and I will be able to play the game again :biggrin:

To start off here are my PC spec's:

Graphics card: nVidia GTX 550Ti
Ram: 4gb
OS: Windows 7 Ultimate
CPU: AMD Phenom 9850 Quad-Core Processor

I hope someone can help with this and can tell me if any of the mods are in conflict that is making the game slow or if some mods require a stronger PC. Thanks a lot for your time in reading this and I hope to sort this ot soon :biggrin:

What is the size of your save game?

I have two versions a SKSE one and a ESS one. The SKSE is 7.23kb and the ESS is 10.4mb.
