I enjoyed alpha protocol lol.

And I would pre order from gearbox if I was interested in the game. So far the only game I've been interested in is borderlands. But I would hardly say their reputation is ruined. Solely from borderlands their reputation is really good.

I should hope so Jim; even Borderlands has it's issues; B2 is hardly the most reliable game in the world, aswell as broken promises regarding the season pass. GBX initially claimed the season pass would cover "all subsequent future DLC" before cutting it down to "Most selected DLC" and then finally to "The three main DLCs" and then reaching where we are now; the season pass simply being a convenient way to buy all the major DLCs at once instead of having to enter payment details seperately; it actually doesn't save you a cent.

Gearbox DO deserve to suffer; the amount of lies, bad publicity, and bad product they've released, they do deserve to suffer some. However, the world is not a meritocratic place, especially not regarding gaming. They probably won't suffur a bit, one of the main reasons being the fanboys. Within hours hundreds of people started trolling the help requests on the ACM forums claiming the game was one of the best corridor shooters ever made, with a "sublime multiplayer" and that anyone with reliability problems needed to "stop playing on a toaster"

I've seen no one else put this into consideration, but I wonder if someone's sabotaged CM on purpose in order to get back at Gearbox or one of the development houses for some reason. It seems to me that somewhere the game was going perfectly, but someone figured out how to delete the content by "accident", meaning going back to an older, less complete version, or nudged several people enough to change the content into an inferior form. If it's the latter, then it's an even worse problem as the saboteur is more likely a development or design lead.

I think if we can get a tester to talk, we would get a lot of info on what was really going on. They would likely know what kind of turns the game took through their testing...
