Murkrow900
Hey guys and girls, sorry to disturb but just wanted to ask why I'm receiving this error when i try to install a mod in skyrim? '' A problem occurred during Install: The requested change to the active plugins list would result in over 255 plugins being active. The current game doesn't support more than 255 active plugins, you need to disable at least one plugin to continue. '' I've uninstalled thrice and tested if i can disable or enable mods in fallout 3 & vegas and that i can so it's only in skyrim that I am having these problems. Any ideas how i could fix this? currently got 205 active mods. And I have also disabled a few mods to see if that does anything but it doesn't and it won't even allow me to re enable those mods that i disabled myself! Answers are very appreciated!<
Murkrow900
Bump! Also I reposted this cause it didn't seem to fit in the general discussion for skyrim.
MotoSxorpio
Find this location, note that USERNAME is your login name on the PC:C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Skyrimand delete the following files:loadorder.txtplugins.txtDCLlist.txtThen run Skyrim Launcher and click DATA. Close Skyrim Launcher. Open NMM or Wrye or whatever manager you use and re-adjust load order.
Murkrow900
Thanks for the response, but what do you mean with re-adjust load order? I have no clue what to do here.
Murkrow900
Still can't enable any mods, deleted those files and reinstalled nexus but nothing :/. http://i.imgur.com/q6kyWIl.jpg
DigitalVixen
Unless you need NMM to manage the mods for you I would suggest switching to Wrye Bash. Not only can it help you consolidate mods in some cases, but it can also run tools like BOSS for load-order arrangement for you.
Murkrow900
hmm, is there any way to convert my mods that i currently have in nexus mod manager into wrye bash? never heard of that tool or BOSS before hehe
DigitalVixen
hmm, is there any way to convert my mods that i currently have in nexus mod manager into wrye bash? never heard of that tool or BOSS before hehe Strictly speaking you don't need to convert mods. But Wrye Bash won't keep track of updates or let you download mods within the tool. You have to download and install the packages yourself. Search for BOSS and Wrye here on the Nexus and read a little, it may help you to use those two tools.

Kroekr
How many mods do you have? Make sure you delete/uninstall the problem mod. Manually download the mod to desktop then add to NMM using green plus sign in top left corner. Sometimes a mod will get corrupted during download and it will be kept a secret from you.
