InfernieFuqs
As the title says, when I deploy more than 1 mod at a time, whether its a big or small mod, I get a permanent FPS drop. I normally can run the game at 72 FPS, with some dips in certain places. Yesterday I went through and tried to find the mod that was causing it, after individually deploying each mod through vortex, I didn't get any drops. After a few hours of playing, I decided to get a few more small mods. And right when I launched it, my FPS was back down to <35, which is so frustrating. When I reinstalled the game for the 4th time, removed every file and what not, I still get the same frame issues without any mods even in the game files. I just want to play the game at normal frames. Specs:I7-3770GTX 1070Ti16GB ram I have tried changing the pref.ini file and changing the interval to 0 and making sure vsync on nvidia control panel was on adaptive. Its just getting so frustrated. Especially when I have relatively low amount of mods. Please help, I am so lost.
HadToRegister
So, when you started adding mods and noticed the frame rate drop, did you then remove the mods you recently added, ONE BY ONE, to see if the frame rate went back up?ALSO, hopefully when you added those new mods after a 'few hours of playing', you started a new game, rather than continuing your old game, because adding new mods to a game already in progress causes scripts etc to end up being orphaned which can drag down your frame-rate and drastically increase loading/saving times. InfernieFuqs
So, when you started adding mods and noticed the frame rate drop, did you then remove the mods you recently added, ONE BY ONE, to see if the frame rate went back up? ALSO, hopefully when you added those new mods after a 'few hours of playing', you started a new game, rather than continuing your old game, because adding new mods to a game already in progress causes scripts etc to end up being orphaned which can drag down your frame-rate and drastically increase loading/saving times. I havnt tried removing mods one by one because even when there are no mods in any of the folders, I still get this frame drop. And yeah. I made sure to make a new game. But again, when I had a fresh install, no F4se just fresh off of steam and into even the loading screen, I got crap FPS. I can tell when I have the frame issues once I get into the main menu. So I added a mod, and then went into the menu, checked, and repeat. But when it goes south, nothing I did worked. This is honestly the weirdest thing I have encountered. Im not new to modding but im not the best at it. I know the basic do's and don'ts but this has really got me stumped Also appreciate the help Edited September 23, 2020 by InfernieFuqs
HadToRegister
Where is your Mod Staging Folder Located, and what Drive is it on?Which Drive is your Game installed on?
InfernieFuqs
Same drive. I have many drives, but F4 is on my E drive and typical steam path to get to it, and staging folder is a parent folder on that drive.
HadToRegister
What kind of mods are you installing?Texture mods?Because I can't see why your FPS would drop so drastically after installing one mod.

The only major thing I am using is F4 seasons, True Storms, and better settlers.
HadToRegister
Is this how your mod list is actually laid out?Because Armorsmith Extended shouldn't be bunched up right below AWKCRAlso, Scrap Everything needs to be last
InfernieFuqs
This isnt the actual order. I have my mods sorted alphabetically so I can find them faster. Thats 100% not the plugin order. Ill have to look back over the order because that's one thing I've never been good at. Never knew what should go where. If you're using Vortex, then Vortex sorts your load order for you, all you have to do is click on the header of the column LOAD ORDER or MOD INDEX to see how they're actually sorted in the load order.
