HadToRegister
Did you also copy the GAME to your new computer? Because you need to install it in order for the registry entries to be correct. Also, don't forget that your INI files in C:\users\YOUR NAME\Documents\My Games\Skyrim folder also contain all the info about file paths etc.I installed then copied the folder over the top of the install folder. Maybe we found the problem.... in my .ini files the only file path I see anything about is regarding save game path. It should be more than that right? Yea, it should contain the paths of the BSA files, the audio, video settings, it should contain a TON of stuffWell it does have some video/audio settings, a few other things but nothing about the BSA files. I have no idea how that happened but surely that must be it. So, where do I find a proper copy to adjust, or what shall I do? A new one should be regenerated if one doesn't exist, the first time you start the game. However, the game needs to be installed properly for that to work. Should be, or just rename them to something like Skyrim.ini.bak The new ini should regenerate with all of the proper things, if it doesn't then something's wrong
GowiHasti
OK I just tried this and reinstalling and starting from scratch and STILL getting this problem. I could almost pull my hair out I'm so frustrated over this one! I've NEVER had a problem like this! Skyrim just seems to hate that I got a Dell this time instead of an HP like the last time or something!

Well this turned into an epic journey caused by trying to save time by copying everything over to a new computer. Uninstall your game, and Steam or whatever is the host, remember to get rid of, or rename the INI files in your My Games folder. Check your Registry for any entries that you edited that had to do with Skyrim, because Hand Changed Entries may not get changed Back on a reinstall. Start over, Install Skyrim, and before you go any farther, test it out.

Uninstall whatever you manually edited the registry entries for. Then, check the registry entries and see if your edits still exist, if so, BACK UP your Registry and delete the registry keys that you changedBecause it's sounding like the registry enty(s) you changed 'stuck' in the registry, so nothing changed when you uninstalled and reinstalled. Uninstall, Get rid of those entries you changed , Then Reinstall, and hopefully the program will write the correct entries
