Today I finally wanted to launch the game through vortex and basically nothing happens. The game does pop up in my Task manager for a short while. I've ran Fnis and I've used loot. On the vortex app I have no notifications. On LootWarnings34 Errors1Active Plugins259Dirty Plugins28Total Plugins283 The error is RRR - Immersive Citizens PatchThis plugin contains records that have FormIDs outside the valid range for an ESL plugin. Using this plugin will cause irreversible damage to your game saves.But I've disabled this plugin, although I keep getting this. Any help would be much appreciated! nt5raham Posted October 3, 2020 Share Posted October 3, 2020 Skyrim SE has a hard limit of 255 Active plugins. I'm not sure this is your only problem, but it is a problem. Just to test, disable enough mods (and then deploy mods) to make sure you are at 254 Active plugins just to be safe. If that works and the game loads, we can go from there. I've gotten it fixed, a mod was making it crash for some reason, disabling that one fixed it.Just now though my game crashes 8/10 launches after the loading screen intro. nt5raham Posted October 5, 2020 Share Posted October 5, 2020 Unfortunately I do not have enough knowledge to know which errors in a log are known and acceptable, and which errors actually mean something. Some basic troubleshooting can usually narrow it down. How many active plugins do you have at this point? You were at 259 earlier, and you said you found a mod that was a problem and you removed it so does that mean you were now at 258? If so you need to get to 255 or below. Soooooo basically, I'm at Active Plugins 280 Dirty Plugins 25 Total Plugins 290I don't know how to check how many of them are light thouBut for some reason, simple plugins are crashing my game? such as Simply Knock I still have 80 mods to install but I'm doing them one by one and launching game and the most simple things are basically crashing it. Even bodysliders... But even if I install a plugin, and the game crashes, I remove it. The game still crashes... nt5raham Posted October 5, 2020 Share Posted October 5, 2020 Active Plugins, by definition, are not Light. Start by getting your Active Plugins below 255. Period. Never go above 255 Active Plugins. Ever. We can address the Dirty Plugins later, and Light Plugins after that. LL is not a place you want to visit until you have a totally stable game and more modding experience, so when you are disabling mods, start with the ones from LL. First things first. Please note, this is the third time in this thread that I have suggested reducing the number of Active Plugins to 255 or lower. Instead of reducing the number of mods, you are adding more? In a mod manager like Nexus Mod Manager, you need to look at the bottom of the plugins tab to see how many esm/esp plugins are counted (installed mods with esl plugins are seen as active, but are NOT counted towards the limit of 255). Dirty plugins can cause things to not function like they should.I'm not sure about all managers/programs and how they count plugins, but @aqw194 is using Vortex, and in Vortex the Active Plugin count is contrasted with the Light Plugin count. When the Active Plugins reach 255 the text in Vortex changes colors to alert the uninformed to the problem. I have 984 active mods with over 1,000 plugins, but only 204 of them are called Active Plugins in Vortex because it is not counting esl and esp-fe plugins. nt5raham Posted October 6, 2020 Share Posted October 6, 2020 @JimmyRJump, I just ran standalone LOOT on my load order and it is showing "Active" as you said (not surprising, considering your over 10K posts), and I am WAY over 255 Active according to LOOT. Is there a way to use LOOT to differentiate between regular/light plugins? I didn't see a way in my quick glance. @aqw194, Vortex has LOOT built in, so it is not necessary to run standalone LOOT. If you go to the PLUGINS tab in Vortex and click "Sort" at the top it will run LOOT automatically. Here is how you determine how many plugins are light/not light in Vortex. Go to the PLUGINS tab and look at the top right corner. You will see Active: xxx LIght: xxx where xxx is the number of plugins in each category. If it says Active 255 or higher in this location, the text will change color. Use this as a starting point so you can keep up with how many plugins are counting toward the limit.
