DaemonGrin
Just curious I've been playing Dead Space 1-3 religiously since beating 3 and getting the plasma cutter bug (side note: is there a plasma cutter mod? lol) Anyway it got me thinking about making a dead space inspired mod and was wondering how I would go about making an outer space environment? Look out a window and see space. Is there a way to use zero gravity (nothing as spectacular as dead space 2 or 3 zero g but something like the zero g jump from dead space to jump from one point to another? Zero gravity not important however. Last question is about the VR pods. Is there an entering and exiting sequence (as in Operation Anchorage) available in the FNV assests? Thanks! Xaranth
There's an outer space sky dome, though I can't remember the asset name. No idea about zero G, but... I'd rather a bandaided 'artificial gravity' than an attempt at zero G with the game still locked into a single plane. The enemy's gate is down. You'll have to explain what you mean by "bandaided "artificial gravity"" along with "The enemy's gate is down"?
Xaranth
What I mean is rather than a badly worked zero-g, you should apply the classic scifi bandaid - "Artificial Gravity" The enemy's gate is down.
HurrlingMercator
I'm not sure how a zero gravity environment would be implemented, but the Cube Experimental mod for Fallout 3 did manage a similar effect to a certain extent. Otherwise here's a shameless plug of a mod I was working on (just to demonstrate that your idea is possible) but never finished: http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/images/2535081-1296866518.jpeg The sun/star and the space dome were leftovers from Zeta which I extracted from the New Vegas meshes.bsa and used. Very cool! Why'd you stop? What was the concept? Awesome those are in the FNV assets!
HurrlingMercator
Didn't really have any concept at the time, just me playing around with the tile sets and a few scripts. Also, I stopped due to boredom and frustration over some issues I had with the GECK, and also the fact that I forgot to backup esp and assets of the project during a reinstallation of my OS. :/ Pretty much just lost motivation to redo it. Ouch. I see well maybe the motivation will come back if you think of a concept hope to see it one day!
