Skinjack
I've never actually delved too deeply into Profiles, but I figured now that I was moving everything to a new PC I would start from scratch with my load order. In the process I had planned on using a number of profiles as sort of a "back-up", ie I can back up to this stage and not have to completely redo my list everytime I wanted a character change. Probably the wrong way to use it, but like I said, I'm new to profile use. Everything was going along fine but then Vortex "lost" all the conflict resolution I had done on previous files. No problem - I'll just back up one. Except that lost it too. And everyone I went back to had done the same thing. Now I have this daunting list of conflicts (I have 600+ mods) I need to resolve. Each time I load a profile I need to enable all the mods and plugins, then selectively disable a few (like the Bijin mods as I use the AIO and its required to disable the plugins). So why did Vortex lose this information? Is there a limit on how many profiles you can have? I'm closing in on 20 where I progressively added the most important mods (to me) and had intended on deleting every other one or so when I was done to make the list manageable, but this has me wondering what I did wrong (because I know its probably me). EDIT: So I went through and re-made all my conflict resolutions again. Vortex does make that extremely simple to do if you know what you want where. I'm not sure what I did wrong to get rid of that list somehow but at least its working. On a side note, is there anyway to actually print out a list of existing conflict resolutions so that you know how you resolved them for future reference? Not a big deal to try to remember them, but since I have so many mods and the ol' gray matter is less than responsive these days it would be a handy list to keep around. Old age. Its all about lists. HadToRegister
Are your profiles set to PER-USER or SHARED in SETTINGS------->VORTEX ?
Skinjack
Good question. Let me check. I'm the only one who uses this computer so I set them to PER USER. I tell the wife she can use it, but she said its not worth the @&$*fit I throw every time she screws it up. Which, come to think of it, is every time she touches it.Does that make a difference? I know the choice prevents others from playing your game and instead starting their own, but I thought that was pretty much all it did. Can't imagine how badly she would fubar this computer if she played and messed with profiles.

I have mine set to Shared I vaguely remember someone having a problem with profiles, or their ini files getting overwritten whenever they switched, and the problem ended up being Per-User vs Shared. That's all I can remember though, my memory isn't what it used to be in the 1960s, and 1970s
Skinjack
I'll see if I can find anything related online. If not I can always change it. Not going to matter to me. The nest is empty these days, so I don't need to worry about the wife messing with stuff and children screwing with things. Thank you again.
