If you really like the mod you could post to the persons Profile and ask them why it's hidden, at the same time tell them how much your like their mod.

Depends!!! It could mean the person who own it is keeping it hidden while they work on some bugs so we don't get them when we download the mod for our game.

Or it could mean someone had hidden it because they are no longer sharing it for many reasons.

Just one other reason I got from one mod I used is the person didn't like the posts I have posted in the threads of friends of theirs and they don't want me using their mods so they've BLOCKED my Avatar and username so I can even see any of their mods.

Just a few reasons why they are hidden when we try to download a mod.

If you can't get to their profile you have likely been blocked by them for some reason. In that case; Your best bet then, may be, to learn to mod for that specific game.

I checked their mods. They have some other mods for DA, but nothing about Grey Wardens Heavy gear Icon fix.

They may be in an area where weather is a factor and causing them to be busy with real life.

What do you do? You wait!

Or, check their permissions to find out what they allow so you can deal with the mod yourself.

The old rule for modding is, If you use other peoples mods for your own use and don't share it with anyone on any other persons computer you can play with it in your game all you want.

If the mod is someone else's you can make adjustments as long as you don't share their mod, upload their mod, or claim their mod to be your own.

Play with their mod on your machine, but don't share it. Unless you have the mod's owners permission you don't share it or upload it.

Can't wait then... Mod and make your own.

Mods go hidden for a number of reasons

1. The modder doesn't have time to maintain the mod anymore, or answer questions and tech support questions about it.

2. The modder doesn't want to have their mod on the Nexus anymore because people are stealing it, and putting it on other websites behind a paywall

3. The mod causes a problem in the game, and people complained so the modder removed it so it won't mess up anybody else's game

That's just a few.

A LOT of people also expect other members to provide them with mods when the mod is no longer available, which also makes modders mad, and violates the TOS as well.

If the mod isn't available anymore, then it's not available anymore.

You should do what everybody else does in the volatile, and ever changing world of modding...download them, AND KEEP A COPY OF THEM, don't delete them after you've installed them, assuming they're going to be there forever.

I wasn't being a smart ass, ffs, I USE CAPS for EMPHASIS instead of ITALICS

Go find it yourself then,. I'm not going to try and help a thankless and rude person like you ever again.

BTW, there is NO MENTION of you doing a FACTORY RESTORE in ANY of the posts in this thread, except for your last post where you claim you Mentioned aFactory Restore.

I don't have the stuff to make my own mods or the know how

No Mention of FACTORY RESTORE.

I was giving advice because a lot of people will download a mod, install it, then delete the archive, rather than back it up, in case the mod disappears from the nexus.

But, since you know better, I'll leave you to it.

Putting you on block and ignore.
