julesw
The problem I have with Vortex is that not only is it excessively complicated for normal users, but it's so poorly documented that even trying to figure out basic things is frustrating. This isn't 1985.

This isn't 1985.The problem with your post is that you've provided no objective (or subjective for that matter) way to evaluate your claims. You've merely stated an opinion, nothing more, so it's essentially valueless. I'll state mine as a contrast. I usually use MO2 but I recently used Vortex for the first time for a heavily modded Dust playthrough of FNV. I was pleasantly surprised at how quickly I was able to get up and running. I had to invest a little bit of time in learning how Vortex does things but less than I anticipated and I found it intuitive and the documentation was more than adequate (knowledgebase and videos easy to find on the sidebar and dashboard). I'd consider myself a 'normal user' and I found it less complicated than MO2. Who knows why you think it's poorly documented. Maybe you suffer from reading comprehension issues - not an uncommon phenomenon on the internet....
Ethreon
Pretty sure there's quite a fair bit of both written and video documentation for Vortex. Sounds like the "cba to search myself" phenomenon in which people have quick and easy access to a wealth of information but never bother searching for it, instead claiming it doesn't exist. MikeInWare
I don't care how complicated it is, as long as it fulfills its promise of ModPak's so this father can actually play modded games without hours of painful management like he used to have to do. I don't enjoy modding - I want to download and for it to work. And I am willing to pay for that feature.
