Re-instalation

Not that irritating. I make a list of all the mods I have, then cross out at least five of them that I don't want anymore. With some mods, I back up the packages. Then I redownload mods.

Doesn't get me that bad. And I always download after midnight, to take advantage of my off-peak downloads, so I don't waste my on-peak ones.

I save the 7-zip files of every mod I install in a folder on my desktop. If I need to reinstall them, they are there when I need them and the zip files don't take up much space, plus you can arrange them in your load order so that the re- install is the same as before. In case you don't know. after you extract a file all the information in still stored in the original zip file and can be extracted again. very handy for storage.

Ah, but I had a sort of accidental deletion (thanks dad) of the mods folder that screwed up oblivion. As most of them were active mods at the time, I think one of them may have taken part of the game out with it. (I think maybe The Heart of the Dead. The raven eye productions bit came up then Oblivion crashed completely)

This won't help you this time, but for future reference it may be helpful to back up your entire "Data" directory after you've installed your mods. Something gets borked and you can just delete the messed up directory and replace it with your backup. I have a vanilla backup just in case something I'm tinkering with messes up and it has saved reinstalling numerous times.
