The game keeps disabiling SkyUI

For some reason every time I load up the mods area from within the game for whatever reason... weather it's to enable/disable mods or download new ones... it always disables SkyUI which BTW I have downloaded via nexusmods, so it has nothing to do with the mods area from within the game itself.

Could someone kindly explain to me why this happens and if there might be some way to stop it from happening. It's really aggravating to have to keep closing out the game after I work on the mods in there just to open up Vortex, so I can re-enable SkyUI all the time.

Thank you.

The game launcher disables SkyUI because it doesnt have Skyrim as a master.

You can bypass that by launching the game via script extenders skse64_loader.exe.

Or add skyrim as a master to SkyUI plugin using the tool SSEEdit. If you dont have script extender.

WHAT?????

SkyUI doesn't have an ESM master

All SkyUI needs is for SKSE64 to be installed and the game started from skse64_loader.exe

There's NOTHING about needing Skyrim as a Master

You're using Vortex to manage your mods, so Please, DO NOT, use the In Game Mod Manager. DO NOT EVER USE IT.

Every time you open the in game mod manager, it overwrites the plugins.txt file that Vortex wrote, and disables the mods.

Stop opening the in-game mod manager.

A lot of my mods are in there though. Like the alternate start - live another life for example.

You dont know what your talking about. If you dont start the game via script extender it disables SkyUI because it doesnt have skyrim as a master. skse64_loader.exe bypasses the games launcher.

This has been a known problem for years.

Skyrim.ESM is NOT a master of the SKyui.esp

SkyUI.esp has Zero masters, open it in Xedit and see.

If you don't run skyrim by using SKSE, then SkyUI can't load because it depends on SKSE, like a bunch of other mods that rely on SKSE do.

Is that how you installed the mods?

With the In Game Menu? or Steam Workshop?

I know SkyUI doesnt have a master. When you launch the game via script extender the lack of master doesnt matter.

When you launch the game via the vanilla launcher -the lack of master does matter, and the game will keep disabling

it.It can be fixed by adding skyrim as master even though it does not need one. There is plenty on this on the SKYUI mod page and google .You can also test it yourself.

Anyway im done with this, its like trying to talk to a wall.

Make up your mind.

You're using bad terminology, when you use the word MASTER when referencing a Bethesda game.

Also, I'm done too, use the proper terms next time.
