NEED HALP

Just got skyrim and started modding, currently have 104 mods and tried launching game from Vortex but it won't start or crashes as soon as the bethesda logo shows up. I tried starting the game before and it has worked, i'm guessing there's errors in mods but i get no notifs and already fixed the ones that appeared. any help is greatly appreciated :D

Sounds like you're either using the wrong game mods for whichever version of Skyrim you're playing.

Since I don't know if you're playing Classic Skyrim or Skyrim Special Edition, you have to make sure that the mods you are downloading are for the version of the game you have.

Secondly, it sounds like one, or many of your mods are missing a master, which is why Skyrim will crash at the logo.
It's always a good idea to look at the requirements for each mod you download, and read the description page.

I have skyrim se and i checked all of the mods thoroughly incase i was missing stuff it needed to work as well as if it was for my version. I did everything and even started going through them checking to see if the game would run with them and it worked until FNIS started popping up everywhere and i have tried everything to remove it but for some reason it won't go so i'll try to uninstall and reinstall everything. thanks!!

Make sure to uninstall your mods first, because if you're planning on uninstalling your game and reinstalling, unless you uninstall the mods first, they'll get left behind and you'll have the same problem once you reinstall, because Steam won't remove them

And for heaven's sake - don't start your modding with 104 mods.

Disable everything except FNIS. Deploy. Get that working all by itself (Yes, you have to have FNIS if you have any animations).

Now add just SKYUI. Get that working with no error messages.

Now add maybe five more mods. Make sure those work.

yes i uninstalled everything first and i will go slower this time, i got hella excited because i wanted to play skyrim for years now

any suggestions to what mods to enable and test first like textures or graphics

SKSE64 first. Launch Skyrim SE from SKSE64 loader.

FNIS next. Run it.

SkyUI next. That will fail if you did not do SKSE 64 correctly.

Then just pick one. Read it's description - and make sure you have all the prereqs.

Report back on how that went.

i typed so much about my progress but it's all gone :/

 

everything worked basically just my dumbass forgot to install nemesis engine for my movement and jump overhaul (which i am going to have to do without since i could not get it to read my mods)

started up just fine after only like 50 tries with all of the mods thought it was going great until i got to finally see and i was confused cuz the screen was super shaky and i thought my sens was high af but it turns out the buggies are in fact very buggy (idk if it's cuz of some mods or just starting out in that new game). After literally climbing over the mountain to the village the horses were trying to go through the closed gate for 10 min before i restarted my pc (hence the unsaved texts)

 

I'll start it up again but i was wondering about skyui, do you access the skyui menu from the beginning or is that just the settings menu??
