Zubaru
Hallo people, i have always though that the level scaling in skyrim was a bit dumb, since if you level any skill you shoot yourself in the foot.the level scaling is still a good thing, it makes so that all dungeons can be challenging and filled with worthwhile loot, tho if you train a skill that has absolutely nothing to do with combat your screwed since the game will be much harder.so here is where the idea comes in, what if your level only goes when you level combat skills + enchanting/smithing(those give you a edge in combat).so things like sneak, speech, alchemy etc. did not level you up. Strokend
Sneak lets you avoid detection, speech lets you talk your way out of it or buy better gear, and alchemy lets you give yourself temporary upgrades. However, if you get the Character Creation Overhaul, you won't level up as fast (or at all) from the skills that aren't for your class, so you can freely train your other skills without it impeding your combat capability. nakakita
This mod is an skse plugin that you can use to make certain skills (like non-combat ones) not count at all for leveling. And other things. Alternatively, you could use the console to de-level your character. Open console, click on character then type 'setlevel [insert level here]'. Sometimes you'll have extra experience from your previous higher level and you'll level up a few times, but at least you'll have more health and perk points to spend.
