Shezza1895
Dear All: Greetings from Canada! I am Shezza. I'm writing to seek help for a problem I'm having with Skyrim as modded by Vortex. It's simply this: I hear the footsteps my character running but, when I look at my character to see if she is running, she isn't. She's just holding her arms out from her sides and just sliding along the road. Others are just standing around in the same position and not moving. I've uninstalled all my mods, and it's still not working right. Any ideas, brainstorms and/or vague notions will be entertained here. Thank you kindly for your time. I remain, Sincerely yours always, Shezza. P.S. If a screenshot is needed, I'll gladly provide one.
rmm200
Most animation problems track back to not installing / running FNIS correctly. That said, if you really did uninstall all mods correctly - your problem is not with Vortex.Validate your game using Steam, then ask for support on a Skyrim technical support forum. Shezza1895
Would it help if I reinstalled FNIS? I've also got two items that has something to do with FNIS--Fores New Idles in Skyrim--FNIS Behaviour 7.6 and FNIS Data. Could one of these be causing the problem? HadToRegister
Would it help if I reinstalled FNIS? Did you RUN FNIS in order to install and activate the animations? If you didn't, then reinstalling it isn't going to help.
rmm200
Usual problem with FNIS is people install it using Vortex, and the shortcut winds up pointing to the mod staging directory.Check your dashboard entry for FNIS. It has to point to the game directory, and the FNIS sub-directory.You will know if you run it correctly. It has it's own window, and there will be error messages if you don't do it correctly. rmm200
Poor choice on their part. On this specific problem, they might get better help here. No one over there is likely to fix a dashboard shortcut as a cure.
