Courtlaw
I think you calling for a "competent person" is uncalled for.Just relax. It's not the end of the worldI know its not the end of the world but I literally spent hours and hours researching mod lists for Skyrim VR and installing them directly. All my free time over the past 2 weeks installing hundreds of mods, script extensions, loading only a few at time, restarting SKyrim, etc only to have this happen. Not happy with Vortex at all and I really wished I learned how to use the other mod manager. First time getting into modding and this is what happens. I tried so hard and did everything I was supposed to. Vortex just literally stole 40+ hours of my life which I cannot get back. So yes I am very pissed and have every right to be. This is ridiculous. HadToRegister
I learned my lesson while using Nexus Mod Manager, and have it automatically update, and it completely deleted all of my mods.

What happened was while I was deploying mods the blue pop-up tab for the update appeared in the upper right hand corner of the window exactly where the blue deploy pop-up appears and I accidently clicked on it thinking it was a deploy!! Courtlaw
I had it shut off. What happened was while I was installing/deploying mods the pop-up tab for the update appeared in the upper right hand corner of the window exactly where the install/enable/deploy pop-up appears and I accidently clicked on it thinking it was a deploy!! I wasn't expecting it and it caught me by surprise. So I believe what happened was Vortex initiated the update in the middle of an install. But removing the latest installed mods didn't fix the problem. nor did disabling all mods. Nor did reinstalling the previous version of Vortex. Nor did doing a fresh install of Steam and Skyrim (Yes I had to pull the f*#@in plug. A modders worst nightmare!!!!) So no I am learning how to use MO2 and starting from scratch.
