Unique Beast Races [WIP]

nyonker, I didn't mean to suggest that you like running around in game nude, it's clear to me that you don't. Please consider this, when you kill a beast race NPC you have the option of stripping them nude, and the option of not doing so. You don't need to. However if their skin around their pelvis is made of underwear then you do not have the option of stripping them nude. In one case there are two options, and in the next there is one, I believe the case with more options is more considerate to more people. I keep wanting to reiterate though, that there isn't even anything there to shy away from, so far in vanilla NBR the pelvis is just the place where their tail is. Perhaps beast folk simply don't have anything there, it could be! In the only official smut I've read about involving Argonians, they were restricted to giving handjobs. But if their pelvises are censored then they apparently do have something there, and something we should not see. Can you see why I'm viewing this as one option verses two options?

 

As a more general response to the thread, using NifSkope to edit the mod before using it feels pretty hacky and uncertain to a user such as me who's never even installed that program. Separate downloads for versions with or without underwear would be totally user friendly though, as would an MCM toggler for them. I'm sorry about the complications in finalizing UBR that have come from hearing out our wishes, I'm full of gratitude and excitement, and I don't mind if you (general you, all of you, mostly Derok) need more time. I really like this and appreciate your work.

I don't really know the restriction on the forum, but perhaps we shouldn't be so explicit.

I will add underwear as a separate mesh and everyone will be happy. That's it.

An mcm menu is unnecessary. It's really simple to remove a mesh part:

Open the nifskope files: in this case malebody_0 and malebody_1.

Right click the mesh, go to "block" and "remove branch".

 

Btw I've read about a certain Argonian "flute" or something. We all know Beth loves these jokes.

Another edition: To say what I have to say on argonians, some say they have bits, some don't. I'm one of the second variety. Overall, removable underwear on a reptilian body shouldn't cause anyone any issues whether they use it or not, and I think we're getting out-of-hand on the topic. This mod's never going to support argonian bits, so we're blowing the issue up a bit more than we really need to. *shrug*

 

Just my two, or maybe three, cents.

 

Also, another thing that I want to add is that, if people want, I would like to support other body textures! If you find an argonian or khajiit texture mod you want supported, I'll try my best to adapt it to the meshes!

I've always loved the Forgotten Argonian Roots mod and Coverkhajiits (sorry if they've already been talked about here)

for FAR it's because of their non-shiny argonian option that came with the retextures. For me, at least, it makes them look a lot nicer :).

as far as other meshes go I've been spoiled by the Practical Female Armors mod and body replacers like Calyps and Nuskas Heroic Form (CNHF). The chest plates, especially where steel plate and ebony goes, look so much more functional (and in my opinion less ridiculous) with them installed (I run both because CNHF only alters human and elven womens' bodies and PFA does the job of handling the beast women). I cannot go back to vanilla thanks to those mods.

However, UBR has evolved to such a wonderful place that I'm sure the female beasts will look just fine in their converted armor

WarmBlackRooster, FAR and CoverKhajiits both look really really cool, especially FAR's reptile eye retextures. I think I'll take both of these. I don't care that much about Practical Female Armors and the like yet, but it's a noble change I may come back to. I would more like to find a mod that removes female Argonian breasts.

And we're waiting with anticipation Drohung, please report your results!
