Skyrim Crashes Upon Loading Saved Games

I know this thread is really old.. but I kinda feel the need to mention that just creating a shortcut for SKSE from the Skyrim folder and launching from there fixed the issue for me. Thanks a bunch!

I fixed this by going to my save folder in doc / my games / skyrim / saves folder. If you have .skse saves delete them! I loaded my save then it worked.

While you may not have experienced a CTD at the time of the actual "load" of the save game, deleting the associated SKSE will only lead to problems later when playing the game after loading the save. Those files store extra information for mods that can't be saved to the regular save files which means you might find certain things missing, not working correctly, or even causing a crash in the middle of playing the game.

I had the same problem, try to install and uninstall the game and the mods and it did not work I also saw in plugins.txt to check that I did not have more than one Skyrim.esm and there was only one, this was my solution http: // www. Nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/78557/? And http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/46465/? I'm not sure which is the one that gave me the result but my game works fine for now

Press the windows key (right of the left side's Ctrl) while pressing R at the same time. Then type %appdata%.

everything was fine befor i installed this mod manager u_u' , just happend to me too

This just started happening to me. I don't know if I have permanently or only temporarily fixed it but:

 

I deleted all but the last good set of .ess and .skse saves after backing them all up. Then I went in game and loaded that save. Then I deleted that save so there were no saves at all. Then I made a new save and quit the game. So back to save numbered one. Went back into game loaded the new save, and so far I have done a bunch of stuff and saved like ten times with no issue. Wish me luck...

âI have found when attempting to load a saved game that continues to crash to desk top, its best instead to load first a saved game from a small cell, example,...one with no other npc in it but you, and the smaller room or cell the better, seams to put less stress on graphics cards and most importantly allows time to start all those mods you might have gathered,,i have over 150 mods with mod manager.....the cell I load into is the one where you are sent to retrieve the golden claw stolen from the shop in Riverwood for Camilas brother..Luken .right at the very end of that quest in the barrow you go up the stairs to exit and you step into a cave tunnel leading out , you turn a handle and find your in a very small cell or cave , with a scull and a chest..this is the save point I load into first,..after it starts, 10 seconds or so and all my mods start and load, I then load the game I'm up to. works a treat every time. no crashes.
