Gorsondor
That is most strange indeed. Have you tried tracking the "users" of the modified Dragon Aspect?Ill look at them, although im doubtful of any progress there. I have a feeling that the effect contains some sort of harcoding that I dont have access to. Every attempt Ive made so far should gave been successful theoretically, im more than confused at this point. Well, if that fails, try looking at all the different parts of the Bloodskal Blade, maybe there's something you've missed?
Catman030
Yea i guess there has to be Edit: Just tried attaching the enchantment to the blade just for kicks. Nothing. Also tried copying the keywords in case there was a condition by any chance. Still nothing Edited September 6, 2014 by Catman030
Gorsondor
I took a look at the Bloodskal Blade and it has this "embed" option ticked with a Projectile-node, with a Perception condition. Is that what's giving the Bloodskal its ranged enchantment? Edit: Well am an idiot! More Draconic doesn't give you the affect when flying, its Flying Mod Bete! that gives the affect! I'm ashamed of myself... :( Edited September 6, 2014 by Karkron
Catman030
Don't worry about it. I already tried the projectile-node thing, still no success. I did however have some success with the imbued weapons. I made it work in a shout, but I couldn't add it to the rage of ancients shout. Something must be conflicting. Correct me if I read it wrong: So what your saying is that with the Imbued Weapons mod, you were able to cannibalize part of it to work in a shout, but it wont work with Rage of Ancients? Edit: Did some more digging and found a projectile that claims the Bloodskal Blade as its "source" tho I doubt its the thing that gives the sword its range enchantment. I also found a script called "DLC2BloodskalBladeSCRIPT" or something like that, the script uses two spells that go vertically and another that goes horizontal, along some kind of ammo (Bloodskal arrows?) I then found a quest that uses both the blade and the script. Could this quest be the thing that makes the sword what it is??? Bethesda has made the weirdest weapon in the game to work with. Catman030
You pretty much read that right. The problem occurs when adding effects to the effects list currently in place (specifically the enchantment/damage boost that's causing the conflict). Since the imbue weapons mod is also perk based, I believe this is where the problem occurs. I've tried almost every combination, such as combining the two perks into one, or using one script to unlock both perks. Nothing. Its honestly pretty confusing. Question Did you look at the things I brought up in the Edit? Edit: not sure if this might work, but have you tried adding more Magic Effects to Rage of Ancients in a way that applys the "Bloodskal" perks from Imbue Weapons, without infusing them into a different perk or by using a script or have you tried that already? Catman030
I've already done both. Somewhere there must be a condition that you have that exact sword. As for the imbue weapons, which should work with any weapon, what you just described was my first attempt. Adding it to other effects is where the problem occurs. Gorsondor
Well idk how or why this sword even works the way it does. This is a strange weapon indeed. I think I have an idea though, not sure if it will work nor am I sure if you already tried that, but have you tried copying all the parts of the Bloodskal, but have every single bit of that point towards Rage of Ancients or the Zahkrii Do Dovahkiin sword? Edit: Also, have you looked at Flying Mod Bete for the Bloodskal affect? Edited September 7, 2014 by Karkron
Catman030
I havent taken a look at the flying mod bete yet, since i'd rather not add any more confusion to this mess. I suppose i could try copying the bloodskal blade and changing the meshes and name Edit: Just spawned a bloodskal blade through command console. And the effect doesn't work... Is that just me? Edit: Nevermind, turns out bloodskal blades spawned through command or secret room don't have the effect. interesting.
