sisterof
skyrimconfessions made me remember one - seeing Farkas sitting quietly beside Kodlak's body after his murder by the Silver Hand. It's not a "heart touching" moment in a nice and cuddly way, though. It felt pretty sad when my Dragonborn (before he even knew he was such) arrived at the stairs and saw two of the Companions with weapons unsheated, and stormed into Jorrvaskr to find Kodlak dead. Vilkas was all restless and aggressive asking where the hell the Dragonborn was that wasn't there to protect the Harbinger, and Farkas was just sitting there like a lost puppy. They are supposed to be the most honoured and best warriors in Skyrim and they couldn't handle a handfull of cutthroats in their owm headquarters? Guess I'll never belong..... sisterof
Oh it wasn't about it being your fault. It was Vilkas being Vilkas. You were already a member of the Inner Circle, not just some runt who just joined. The game lets us rise in rank too fast, so that gives us the sensation of "I just got here and I'm your leader already", but try to see it as a more gradual process. At this point, you were already someone trusted, and close to the Harbinger. And you were out with Aela doing missions that Kodlak disapproved of.But again, it's only Vilkas dealing with loss in his stubborn, fiery way. While Farkas, the big guy, just sits in silence. As for being in their headquarters... That's probably the issue. They were all drunk. And didn't the city guard notice a pack of heavily armed people marching in? And you are right it is a whizbang journey that seems like it was rushed and therefore it is not an endearing experience, I only joined to be a werewolf and to find a werewife

You know that way you'd do at least 5 missions BEFORE becoming a member of the inner most circle of trust. But in the end I assumed they rushed it so people could get to werewolf faster. IMO they should've just made it possible to gain lycanthropy outside of joining the companions. That way if I have a character who should be a werewolf but the warrior guild isn't his groove....then he won't have to join them. LordSam17
For me, it was when I had hearthfire for the Xbox. ( I play on PC now, but I originally used the Xbox).I had built up my house in Lakeview, over three long sit throughs in skyrim. I go home to whiterun, and tell blaise and lucia they have a new home. Before I can, Blaise runs at me."Papa!" He exclaimed, and already my heart melts a little. My real heart, not my characters. The acting on these kids is good. Then, I see some little skeever thing behind it, I get ready to attack when I hear."This thing followed me home. Can I keep him, PLEEAAASEEE?!?!?" I was struck by how that voice sounded like mine at that age, when I was looking for my own dog. "Can I have this one? PLEEAAASEEE?!?!?"I could not say no. In my head I gave him the old "You take care of it yourself, okay? You feed it, you wash it, you clean up after it, okay?" But it was irrelevant, because my adopted kid was suddenly the happiest kid in All of Tamriel. To make matters better, Lucia comes up to me."Papa, I got you something!" and she hands me a flower. A blue mountain flower. It's like she knew my favorite color is blue, it's all I've ever gotten from her.I tell them we're off to our new home, and I escort them there. The shock in their voices was enough praise for me. Even better is almost everytime I came home, "Wow, you built this place all by yourself?"Heck, even the arguments they got in against each other were awesome. CandyR27
Tear jerking moment for me was when I gave Sofie a doll. She ran into a corner in her bedroom and cuddled it like it was the most important thing in the world.
