westernnomad
I married Mjoll The Lioness. She's a great follower and I love the voice acting. On the night of our marriage, I took her home along with our two newly adopted daughters, asked her to stop following and went on about my business of being the Dragonborn. I found it odd, but when I stepped out the door, vampires attacked - and there she was still fighting along side of me.Fine, perhaps she saw them coming, I thought. But once the vampires were dead, she kept walking. I tracked her all the way back to Riften. She'd refuse every invitation to follow or even move to other homes. A glitch? Perhaps, but I played along and acted as the jealous husband.Aeryn... He must be the problem.I gave them one more chance and invited Mjoll to follow me as she patrolled the streets of Riften. She did - and I spared Aeryn's life for another day. I convinced her to stay at Lakeview for awhile, but then I invited Uthgerd the Unbroken to follow me and subsequently be my steward. Mjoll ran away again. Aha! She's the jealous type too! I found her back in Riften walking the streets with her puppydog Aeryn in tow. I planned to find a good sniping position to kill him with a bow, but being a heavy-armor wearing; greatsword wielding juggernaut, subtlety was not my strongsuit. No hiding place for me. Direct attack was the only way. One more chance...I asked Mjoll to follow, she didn't.Thinking that all would be fine after I paid for my crime...Out came my fire-enchanted skyforged greatsword and I lopped off Aeryn's head right in front of everyone in the Bee and the Barb.Hmm... my conscience is strong. It's just a game, but still my action didn't settle well. After leaving Riften's jail, I went back to Mjoll to invite her home. She ran from me. I chased her into Aeryn's home, but she would only say something like, "I'm too angry to talk to you!"And her face - I zoomed into first-person mode - I'll be damned if she wasn't crying - at very least a great big pout. The unsettled feeling then broke into full-blown regret and shame. My marriage was ruined. I have a divorce mod, but nope. Not good enough. I was bad. It's a game, so unlike a real-life situation - RELOAD.... Eventually, I learned not to recruit any follower other than Mjoll, or she runs back to Aeryn. Jaradin
There is one way to break their bond forever: make her a Blade, and BAM, that b&@*$ is gone! Granted, not sure she's marriageable after that, but hey! I know it works to get rid of him! Good post, well entertained by your torment.
gaminggriffin
I wonder if Bethesda did that on purpose, it'd be awesome if they did.

Deleted3507349User
Marrying the Priestess of Dibella, Hamal, is a mistake too. You would think it'd all hotness and sexytimes (Dibella), but it turns out she really doesn't like the home you choose and she's not shy about letting you know abour her dissatisfaction....not to mention you can't get her out of that robe. I actually had Aerin follow her to Sky Haven Temple and follow her around Blades HQ like a puppy. Mjoll was a blade but her fanboy would just not go away. Maybe Delphin will put him to work as the blades cleaning boy.
