  1. Dude, you're trollin', right? You're not introverted! You have the voice of a radio announcer! Granted, perhaps your discipline, methodology and pacing needs work, but your voice definitely carries the weight necessary to lead a "Let's Play video. So let's do this, man! (Though please make future increments in fifteen minute periods. I'm not going to sit down and watch you play Skyrim for an hour.)
  2. To be fair, Children of Skyrim isn't supported by the Nexus, so I doubt you'll find many clothes designed around that mod on the Nexus, either.
  3. I've noticed that my children keep slipping through the chairs at my Lakeview Manor home. Could be an issue with the 1.9 patch?
  4. Did you take into account the 'Become Ethereral' Shout? or Odahving? He could just summon him to pick him up. Can't shout in mid-air.
  5. It's from your latest SkyUI update. You can deactivate it in the MCM configuration menu.
  6. I have the exact same problem. >Bought Skyrim, played obsessively for 50 hours in vanilla >Started modding Skyrim, played another 100 hours of dedication >Took a break to play Dishonored and Halo 4, then came back to Skyrim >Had trouble with save bloating, forced to play other games >Finally resolved issue, so now play Skyrim on and off between work >Still have yet to finish Dawnguard, Dragonborn, or even a second playthrough I'm also continuously being pulled back between replaying Skyrim and playing other games, such as Sim City 4 or Guild Wars 2, only to come back to Skyrim. Now my friend wants to try out Minecraft with me! AND I play EVE Online, so Skyrim's pulling me away from that. All the while I'm busy getting an insurance selling career started, so I'm all over the place. So I know that feel bro, I do. :(
  7. I know what's causing the issue, but I didn't have the issue myself: a friend of mine did, and I don't remember his Nexus username. :( Give me a couple hours and I'll get it from him. Then I'll find the thread that had the solution. It has something to do with LOD files not decompressing properly in your game - that's why uninstalling and reinstalling won't solve it, as it's a problem with the way Skyrim is working on your computer. Since this thread will likely be forgotten by the time I find it, I'll try to PM it to each of you, Andrimmer and Tigershanked. Once I find it, I'll post it up in the thread for future reference to others. Update: Found the link! Kudos to my friend, the OP, for linking it to me. Please Help!! Huge LOD Issue Please refer to AcidZebra's post for the solution.
  8. Triss Armor Retextured Very popular mod back in the day, but it's such a staple that I can't blame you for not knowing the name. But here you go!
  9. Back in Oblivion, I resisted downloading the female body replacers for a long time because I wasn't a fan of objectifying bodies for the sake of sexuality. The whole nudity thing really threw me off, and it wasn't until I learned that you could attach "bikinis" for underwear that I I considered using them. Even then I downloaded the "skinnier" version because of two reasons: 1) Personal taste: I'm impartial to curves. 2) I found the heavier sets to be outside of the vanilla means. Now in Skyrim, you have a similar set up: "skinnier" bodies versus curvier bodies, or UNP versus CBBE. Now, both offer underwear versions, so for a time I considered CBBE for its excellent coverage of skinny and heavy side of things with the weight slider device. However, what turned me off was that, even on the skinniest mode possible (which is no where near anorexic in my opinion, contrary to some people saying otherwise) the characters had these REALLY big butts and hips, to the point that they didn't match the skinny figure of the character. So I picked UNP because I found that a) it was nearest the vanilla shape while offering HD textures and improved shapes, and b) it didn't look absurd or too curvy to me. Now, it's totally fair to defend CBBE, because it does offer variance. But we all know that CBBE is used for excessive proportions of butts and breasts at a majority. That is what it was designed for. So that's why I prefer UNP - because that's not my tastes. But to defend UNP, I have never felt that it was "too" skinny or representative of today's unhealthy standards of skinny people. And it's not as if CBBE is an exception from the objectification of women's bodies - it's just as guilty in the community. However, I think both offer quality mods, and each deserve their reactions in the community.
  10. What are the circumstances? Are the heroes based on their game period or by the period of Skyrim? Because if the latter, The Hero of Kvatch / Champion of Cyrodiil's a freakin' Mad God by then. And Sheogorath, old or new, would just drop them both from a high altitude and laugh about it when their bodies break against the rocks.
  11. It's surprises me how many people blatantly admit that they use cracked versions of Skyrim lately. It's often not even that moderators slip the truth out of them, it's merely that people state, "I use a cracked/pirated version," or try to validate their stolen copy by saying, "I already own it on console, I'm not buying the same game twice." Honestly, what's wrong with this picture? How is it that people who steal think that Nexus would support their behavior?
  12. I'll admit that I can get vigilant at times, but that's from old habits - used to moderate a couple forums back in high school.
  13. If Candy's recommendations help then you won't need my advice, but I've seen this problem before. Sometimes when you tweak your ini files through the Skyrim command console (such as through the "refresh ini" command) a new Skyrim configuration file is spawned inside the Data folder that overrides the commands of your document Skyrim config file or even your default Skyrim.ini file. Even weirder is the fact that the file isn't simply named Skyrim as you'd expect, but rather some other absurd and randomized name. In my own case, it named itself "Water." What you should do is look for a file in your Data folder that is designated as as configuration file. Open it, and if it's a fairly extensive folder that looks similar in nature to your Skyrim.ini file, then that's likely your problem. Delete or move it out of the file and see if that resolves your issue. And make sure you back up your Skyrim.ini and SkyrimPrefs.ini folder whenever you tweak them. It's just smart modding.
  14. @FuneralofSmiles No, they're essential configuration files for all BethSoft games. If you delete your Skyrim.ini folder, your game won't work until a new one is recovered/rebuilt by the steam cache file or the Skyrim Launcher. @FalloutModFun Firstly, you need to identify your Skyrim folder. It'll be in the Steam folder of your Program Files in whatever hard drive that you chose to install in. For instance, my Skyrim folder is located at Win7 (C:) > Program Files (x86) > Steam > Steamapps > Common > Skyrim. If it can't detect it, then you either need to find it manually or update your management utility, as the Oblivion manager might not know how to find Skyrim through Steam. Secondly, your Skyrim folder is always dropped into a Documents folder, but it can depend on exactly where. For me, my Skyrim save folder is located in My Documents > My Games > Skyrim. In that folder, you'll find several text documents, along with a folder that holds your save files for your game. What you need is labled "Skyrim" and is titled a "configuration file." If you open it, it'll access through WordPad. If you are missing this file and/or Skyrimpref (another important file) then start your Skyrim Launcher and see if that tries to configure your game to your computer automatically. If it doesn't, verify your game cache from Steam. And if THAT doesn't work, then your game has saved the files somewhere else, but it's supposed to save it in that Documents > Skyrim folder. This is all assuming you've installed using Steam, of course.
  15. You should ask the mod developer.
  16. Yeah, Uriel got offed by the Mythic Dawn. He also played a vital role in Arena, when he was being impersonated by the villain. As for tips, I only played Morrowind and Oblivion, and they're both fairly self-explanatory if you've played Skyrim. But if you have any issues, you can PM me about either and I'll help to the best of my ability.
  17. I'd recommend playing each game chronologically, but not for the sake of story so much but for the sake of gameplay improvements over time. The first four numbered Elder Scrolls games (excluding Redguard) occurred in Emperor Uriel Septim's lifetime, so his story has a varying relevance in each game. But beyond that, they're each generally standalone storylines that can be played on their own accordingly.
  18. Steam is your friend. ;) You can also download Arena on BethSoft's website for free. Maybe even Daggerfall and Redguard.
  19. Um... I want. :D I wish I had money right now. T_T
  20. ^ This. Right here. It's fair to say that we might not receive any more DLC content. However, developers typically announce if a DLC is the "final" to be released. Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas are good examples of this fact, and everyone knew that Oblivion's Shivering Isles would be the last release. We haven't received any confirmation of what's next, so that doesn't mean that we're through yet. Besides, we're still due Skyrim's 2.0 patch, which can be expected to be a massive addition. Furthermore, the quiet is likely not a sign of laziness, but that they're busy reorganizing the teams. They're probably starting work on Fallout 4 now, so they're likely in the works of assigning teams to various projects and redirecting their creative designing towards the new game. Rumors held that Skyrim might get as little as three or as many as five major DLC packages (not including the smaller DLCs like Hearthfire) so we can naturally expect at least one more major DLC to follow Dawnguard and Dragonborn. I doubt we'll see any storylines regarding the High King/Queen. That'll most likely be left as an off-screen event after the clean up of Skyrim. Honestly: those who want their character to be the High King/Queen are expecting too much of their character's place in history. The Nerevarine fulfilled a prophecy; the Hero of Kvatch supported Martin Septim in defeating Mehrunes Dagon; the Dragonborn defeated Alduin. These are singular acts which plateau at that point. Granted, you do become the leader of an undetermined number of factions, but these are temporary titles which are forgotten when your hero disappears in the sunset. Your character cannot gain a power which could affect Tamrelic politics, seeing as how any one character would make massively differing choices and consequences. If you want to be a hero that takes over a kingdom, go play the Fable franchise. That sort of daydreaming doesn't work in The Elder Scrolls. And as for the Thalmor, that will be settled in another game. They're too big of a baddie to be resolved in a simple DLC. They're likely the big enemy in the next game, so let's not get all sore on their existence now - they'll get theirs in the next game, mark my words.
  21. The Dwemer "transcended" at the end of their war with the Chimer in Morrowind. When the Five Houses cornered the Sixth House and the Dwemer at Red Mountain, the leader of the Dwemer attempted to use the Heart of Lorkhan as a weapon against the Chimer armies, but for whatever reason it backfired, and the entire race of Dwemer disappeared from the world. That event played a major part in the back story of TES III, because the four leaders of the Chimer found the Heart of Lorkhan, leading to three betraying the fourth (Nerevar) and using the Heart to become gods (The Tribunal).
