Hello Community,

what do i have to do to install a Mod for GTA 5 with Vortex?

I tried giving a Replace Car-Mod a Install Package with the right Location (FOMOD) would be enought for OpenIV to Replace the old Car, but I was wrong.

What am I doing wrong?

How can I install replace Mods with Nexus?

Did you INSTALL, ENABLE and DEPLOY the mod?

Yes, of course, I even tried the experimental Move Deployment, but that doesn't seem to work either.

Maybe I'm just doing something wrong...

The default Mod staging Folder is "{Userdata}\{Game}\mods"

The Mod should replace files in "mods\update\x64\dlcpacks\patchday2ng\dlc.rpf\x64\levels\gta5\vehicles.rpf" and "mods\x64e.rpf\levls\gta5\vehicles.rpf"

"dlc.rpf", "x64e.rpf" and "vehicles.rpf" are just the name of a folder, not the actual file.

Both Paths and .rpf-Files don't exist yet.

The mod staging folder is on C:\, is the game also on C:\?

It's possible that an overzealous AntiVirus or WIndows Defender is preventing mods from installing.

If you have Windows Defender check to see if "Controlled Folder Access" is turned off., that should be off in order for Vortex to work.

Yes, I only have C: yet, so that shouldn't be a Problem.

I will try that with the Windows Defender when I go home from work, but I have my doubts, since Fallout 4 is in the same steamapps Folder.

Also, installing Scripthook with Vortex worked great!

So I have to say it didn't work is quite wrong it worked, kinda...

I will go with the Move deployment, since it seems like it's quite right for GTA 5.

The other thing is, Vortex did make a managed Folder in "steamapps/common/Grand Theft Auto V/mods/source/content/%modname%" but what I need is not the %modname%, but just the File inside in "steamapps/common/ Grand Theft Auto V/mods", with the right Path.
