StayFrosty05
Hello....I am wanting to kill off Olava the Feeble and Serana....I do kill off the Thieves Guild by removing their Essential Tags and Console opening the Cistern Door, then going into battle with them, which works perfectly well. But I don't want to strike Olava down in game with a weapon, I want to console command kill her....I am guessing first I would have to remove her 'essential' status...but what's the kill code? As for Serana....her Base ID is 'xx002B6C'....using the code doesn't work....I am guessing I need to find out what numbers 'xx' represents....does anyone know either what it is or how to find it? nosisab
the xx there represents the relative position in the load order (starting from hexadecimal 00 for the main ESM to somewhat lesser than FF for mods). I'm not sure why it's marked xx there since she is a character from the main ESM, may mean she was modified by a mod or is just 00 in fact. Sorry I can't say for sure if she becomes killable or how it could affect the game in general. Edit: Ooops, Serana is the character from Dawnguard, right? so yo need to find it's position in the load order.
StayFrosty05
Thank you nosisab.....unfortunately it's not '00', I have tried it....I guess I should try Dawnguards digit position as well...I haven't as yet due to the same reason you state. Supposing you have NMM, just look the Dawnguard index, it's 02 in my case, probably is the same for you. Edit, actually you must look at the "load order" column, the index is ill represented there as actual position starting from 1 and in decimal, not valid for console command. As I see it, the names are inverted and should be corrected in NMM.
StayFrosty05
I will 'save' and try it....I have just found it a bit odd using Dawnguards position....just me being over cautious as usual....Thank you nosisab

Bhanqwa
Bit late to the party but...The kill code is done by selecting your target, then typing "kill" (without quotations) in console. You can select your target by opening console then clicking on her, or by typing "prid xx" (without quotations, where xx is the target's RefID)Some targets are unkillable even after changing their essential status, I found the most foolproof way is to add the following lines to skyrim.ini : [GamePlay]bEssentialTakeNoDamage=0 This will make all targets killable so be cautious, you can later remove the lines or change the 0 into a 1.
