name says it all when i set up a rule to load a plugin last all it dose is move the plugin that's on the bottom to above the plugin I'm trying to load last.

why dose it work like this, its dumb.

why not just have a button that say this must load last.

why do i have to make all theses rules to get one thing to load last.

Don't set up a RULE to load a plugin last, because you'll end up having to make HUNDREDS of them, because that's the extremely wrong way to do it.

Instead, DELETE ALL of those rules, then DOUBLE-CLICK the Esp you're trying to load last, then a panel opens up on the right...scroll to GROUPS, click on the GROUPS drop down menu and select DYNAMIC PATCHES, APPLY, then click SORT, and watch the ESP go to the bottom of the load order.

thank you

but i never would thought of remotely doing this like WTF why not just add a button that dose this, do the devs of vortex have the foresight of mama murphy like jeez i don't even think most tutorials would tell you this.

it's not the devs who lack foresight, it's you lacking basic modding knowledge.

Let me ask you this;

If you have two mods, and both of them tell you to put them last in your load order, how do you do it?

Don't take such mod instructions literally because they are, by and large, complete cobblers. Follow HTR's instructions. They are 100% correct and get your head around plugin groups, and try to be a little less offensive when you hit a problem that you don't understand.

Also, DO NOT go crazy with Groups.

Groups are for scenarios like yours, where you were going to make HUNDREDS of RUles to put a mod at the end of the load order.

Groups are a last resort in sorting, and should be used sparingly

I'll keep that in mind

Don't take such mod instructions literally? i don't? i mostly been troubleshooting a problem with Gas Masks of the Wasteland.

basic modding knowledge? this is so funny get back to me when you install mods in oblivion manually before OBMM existed and constantly having to reinstall the game from DVD and or having to remember to backup the files for troubleshooting

you really shouldn't judge a book by its cover

and be a little less offensive i should say the same to you

now good day

Now, now, don't get butt hurt.

Modding is easy.

Caveat - If you know what you're doing.

All I did was point out that sometimes, if you take instructions literally, you end up in a position where you found yourself.

I just wanted to correct the assumption that you made where you claimed without any evidence or understanding that the developers of Vortex hadn't thought of something that has existed for ages, the whole - what goes last argument. You decided that the people behind Vortex hadn't thought of something, when it was abundantly clear that the person lacking the knowledge was your good self.

Take this as you learning something good and call it an early Christmas present.

BTW - I don't need to give you my CV, modding is literally copying files from directory A to directory B, and understanding what order you need to perform those actions in. I've been doing that for donkeys years. It ain't hard :)
