ethanbader
Hello, I have been having an issue with vortex using space on my C drive even though I have everything for vortex installed on my D drive. The mod downloads and the staging folder are both on the D drive, along with the entire vortex client. I really need to keep all the space I can on my C drive because it has extremely limited space (e.g. right now I have less than 500 MB free, so every MB counts). Right now, I am installing a few mods for blade and sorcery, and I have it all set up to be stored and staged on my D drive, which has a ton more storage, but whenever I download a mod, there is a difference of a few megabytes being lost on my C drive, which matters a lot to me because I have to have room for other updates and such. I was wondering if anyone knew why I am losing this storage like this and where these files are being stored that I don't know of. My C drive space is very important and I have already had to delete several programs in order to simply install basic drivers or other fundamental things. Thank you! AugustaCalidia
Where is your game installed? Also, if you check AppData\Roaming\Vortex on your system drive, what do you see?
ethanbader
My game is installed on my D drive, via steam. It's in the standard directory for it under my D drive. In AppData\Roaming\Vortex, it appears as shown below: https://imgur.com/a/XUpFEAP The bladeandsorcery has only one file under the snapshots and it is called snapshot.json
rmm200
Your Dir program is doing you no favors for indicating storage utilization. Use something like Windirstat:https://windirstat.net It will show you the total space used by the Vortex directory, as well as all it's sub-directories. You will find all your missing space on C: inside that Vortex directory.
DarkDominion
I think you should just buy a bigger SSD.Windows important files will always have parts installed on you C: drive because AppData is located there and MyDocuments ( for saves and .ini files )
rmm200
"Documents" is one of the first things you should let Windows move off your boot drive. Same for "Downloads".I moved mine long ago - so tend to forget people still have them on C:.
