Tutorial for swapping or adding body mesh underclothes?

Hi, I've looked around but can't seem to find the right tutorial - I would really like a video or step-by-step writeup of how to alter base/unclothed body meshes. For instance, I have SOS Light plus the NeverNude option for it but I don't like the underwear model. I want to swap in one of the underwear body meshes from the vanilla body Tempered Skins mod. Or add the vanilla unclothed loin cloth mesh to regular SOS.

Sadly, I have no idea where to even start. I don't know how to access the body meshes in CK and I've found tutorials on some mesh work in general but nothing that seems to apply for this particular problem. Any suggestions or links to relevant tutorials would be greatly appreciated!

This is making me insane. I tried installing and using BodySlide Outfit Studio...created a new project, loaded the SOS Light NeverNude malebody_0 mesh, imported the Tempered Skins underwear mesh, resized and reshaped it to more or less fit, saved it, then copied the nifs to the NeverNude mod folder and renamed them, swapping them out for the original mod underwear meshes. Did the same thing for malebody_1.

But when I went to check it out in game, it was a mess. Literally some stretched out red mass was covering almost the whole field of view, stemming from the male character. What on earth did I do wrong? :-(

I even opened the new nifs in nifskope and so on, and they look fine and normal, so I don't know why the game bugged out....

I think what you want can be done with NifSkope. Open the SOS version of the file in one instance of NifSkope. Open the file from the other mod in another instance of NifSkope.

In the SOS version, locate the added SOS nodes. I think right click allows you to copy. Then in the other instance paste them again with right click, I think. However, I do know that the parent branch being pasted from and into need to have the same text label, you'll have to change that first before you can proceed.

As for specific step by step, I cannot give you that as it has been quite a while since I did any work with meshes and I never messed with or used the SOS stuff.

Look, this is what is happening: https://pasteboard.co/JI9t360.png

I replace the Never Nude underwear mesh with the Tempered Skins ones and....what on earth is that. Why is that happening?? :-\

The replaced mesh looks fine in Body Studio and it looks fine in Nifskope. I was able to add the same underwear to another race (although that had its own problems as it wasn't in exactly the right place on the body; too far forward) but it certainly didn't do anything like THAT.

There's basically no difference between the Never Nude mod mesh and the one where I swapped out the other underwear. They're identical except for the clothing item. I have no idea why it's turning into some utterly monstrous alien being when I'm in the game lol.

No, there's an SOS Light version of Tempered Skins and it requires two separate installations (one from LoversLab) . As far as I know, Tempered Skins isn't available for SOS with underwear. It's not a big deal; I don't care about nudity in general but I really have no need for it in Skyrim and would like to be able to customize meshes a bit on my own. I can't for my life understand why that bizarre bug is happening with my new meshes when it looks perfectly normal in the editing programs :-(

I will see if I can reach Elianora and see if she knows what's causing that insane glitch.

Or not....she doesn't accept messages on nexus and I can't find any way of reaching her through any other site. So...hopefully someone here will know what's causing this insane visual glitch :-(

I'm saying she has tutorials on how to do what you're looking for on her channel, which would probably also let you know why you're having the glitch

I didn't say to contact her.
