UberBender
This is a good test site to see if your Internet Browser is working correctly. http://rpgplanet.com/morrowind/thedailyvivec/ It works for IE and Opera, but I dont think it does for Mozilla (not sure about Firefox) I use Mozilla and that page works fine. Dark0ne
Because it isn't good at its job at all. Even with careful downloading, IE is FAR more vulnerable to spyware and security problems. Maybe its the fact that I'm behind a proxy, or the fact I have two fire walls and 2 virus scanners...but I haven't been hit by spyware or adware for atleast 6 months now...its all about intelligent browsing, not intelligent browsers. Adras
Good to hear that it works. And my IE worked fine, except for the pop-ups, which I didnt like. But I just downloaded I think the Dogpile Toolbar and it worked great. The fact is that I just dont like IE any more because other Internet Browsers have different and sometimes more options to offer. I always use Opera, unless it isnt working for some reason (did that once to me) the I tried Firefox, but I still like Opera above all others. One of the main reasons is that you can make it so pop-ups never come up, or they come up at your will (meaning, they will pop up if you click on them. In Yahoo! Games, you need this enabled), or you can have them come up whenever they feel like saying hello. But I use the second option. Also, instead of having several pages open and they are taking up room on your task bar, they open IN the browser. I know Firefox does this too. Thats why I like Opera, but I really do think that they should make Internet Browsers compatible for every thing. Opera (if you have Java installed) works just fine. I've never gotton a web site I couldnt read. And of course, IE works for everything. And UberBender, the only reason I said that is because my dad's wasnt working with it and he got pretty ticked off. But you must have a plugin or something enabled that he doesnt. Dark0ne
I couldn't get used to the tabs inside the browser...so used to alt+tabbing my IE windows that it took an extra 2 seconds to (1) navigate to the tab and (2) remove the tab when done. Thats 4 secs I just don't have ;)
