daddyviper
I'm trying to mod Cyberpunk but for some reason the mods aren't installing into the directory folder of the game. I was pretty familiar with Nexus Mods but since switching to Vortex, I haven't used as much so I'm not sure what I'm missing. Here's my game path: G:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Cyberpunk 2077 Here's my Vortex download path: G:\Vortex I'm trying to set my mod staging path to: G:\Vortex Mods But when I try to apply the staging folder, I get the below message. I don't know why it's saying it cannot find it when I'm actively trying to set it. Regardless, I select Reinitialize it allows it to proceed. Once I enable the mod, it appears in the staging folder, however, I am not seeing any changes made to the game directory folder. Or is that not where they're suppose to end up? daddyviper
Upon closing Vortex and reopening it, I get the following message. I'm not exactly sure what I'm suppose to do with this. https://i.imgur.com/QRmJSHr.png

No it is not external and no, the drive hasn't lost detection. It's an m.2 drive, still visible and I can still use it.
HadToRegister
Did you in any way, mess around with the Mod Staging folder outside of vortex?
daddyviper
Did you in any way, mess around with the Mod Staging folder outside of vortex? Likely. Because that staging folder was just setup, I would delete it and then restage a new folder in different locations while trying to troubleshoot the issue. As of the screenshots above, I create a new staging folder and didn't mess with it in between the errors above.

That's your problem. you can only make the mod staging folder in Vortex, if you mess around with it outside of vortex, or create the mod staging outside of vortex, and then expect to point Vortex to it, it won't work. In vortex you need to go to SETTINGS------>MODS-----> and either click on SUGGEST, or type in the path and name of your folder, along with {game} Something like this G:\Mods\{game} ANd Vortex will create a G:\Mods\cyberpunk2077 folder

I downloaded a new mod and installed it. Confirmed it appears in the staging folder, but the changes don't appear in game.
