hobokamera
I made the mistake of enabling the use of profiles with Vortex when it came to playing Skyrim SE, and it appears I can't fix what Vortex is doing now. It keeps on making weird folders in my saves folder for Skyrim SE, even with profiles turned off. I have set it in the Skyrim.ini file that I just want my save files to go in the default 'save' folder, and not the weird folders Vortex keeps on making. However Vortex keeps on making folders on it's own every time I turn it on and changing what I put in Skyrim.ini. How can I get Vortex to stop doing this? Since you ENABLED the use of Profiles, just go back and DISABLE the use of Profiles. Do the opposite of what you did to turn them on.
hobokamera
Thank you for the quick reply. I have already disabled profiles, but Vortex still is making random folders in my saves location, and is forcing Skyrim SE to save in the created random folder. I was wondering how do I get Vortex to stop doing this, and save in the default location and stop making random folders. I have also edited the Skyrim.ini file to tell the game where to save the save files, but Vortex keeps on over riding this as well.

Click on PROFIES, click on any profiles you have and delete all of them except one, then click on SAVE GAMES and set it to NO, then click on Game Settings and set it to NO
rmm200
Just a bit more information.Open Vortex, click on Profiles.Look at the profile you are running. There are two line entries: Save Games and Game Settings. If either of those are Yes Vortex creates those directories.Click the little down arrow and select Edit.Slide the toggle for Saves and Settings to the left.Click Save.Done. (What HtR said. He just said it faster...)
