Good Modding music?

But really, I'm not the type to listen to music while doing any kind of work. Just an unnecessary distraction for me. I find that when I'm modding, I'm just watching my visions come to life and that is one of the most amazing feelings I've ever had. No need to supplement :smile:

You really nailed it there. It is so true and when I am at that state, I forget to turn on any music at all. Not all stuff are fun though, when you repeat stuff, that must be done to get stuff to work properly, like adding a lot of books or making loads of Packages, than I really need music or decorating. Tonight I have been editing arrows in Blender and Nifskope, and have not listen to music for 6 hours now. Nifskope is cool but also stupid, as if you make a single mistake, you cannot revert it. :/

 

When I make common scripts I need music but when a script is broken and I cannot find the problem with it, then I turn off music. Damn... Just look at this:

If ( Reference == 0 )

That will stop the script from working if the reference has no data. I scratched my head for 5 hours until I saw it, as I ussually type:

ref EmptyRef

Set EmptyRef to 0

If Eval ( Reference == EmptyRef)

I always do like the last example... I did used an old script though that I thought worked, and it is not easy to find such a bug in a big script. 5 damn hours ... EVAL!!!!! If Eval... That will work on References that has no data, like getting nothing out from an array as one example. Completely empty arrays are nasty... I filled the last ones with an invisible rat that I put in a tent that I put in a room in my house. So if I loose data from the array, target is dead and gone as one example, I add the rat into it to get rid of all error messages in the Console. I use Rats for many things, invisible, no aggro and a package that makes them stand still and doing nothing. So damn good. They are the perfect XMarker and can be moved in game, which Xmarkers can but they end up in odd places and do not remain in SI. Rats do. Rats get to the right spot every time. I love them. :D

 

Well sidetracked there but music can be a distraction, yes. :D But I mostly focus better when I listen to that noise. ;)

I never listened to music during modding either, but listening to music when I'm not modding always lead to more ideas, inspiration, for further modding tasks.

 

Though what music exactly... always changed regularly, whatever inspired me most at those times. But mostly it was game music for some reason.

I have been listen to this band now for 2 weeks in a row, nothing else really. :D I never heard of them before, even if they are from Sweden

I don't listen to it while modding but that's a nice choice, it would be excellent in a Conan movie.

Music is as cool in Daggerfall as well really... I will find it. Meanwhile I didlisten to this again, the first video I made and maybe the one I succeeded with best as well honestly... So damn cool song. I did mentioned black holes at another thread then what suits better than this dep video?
