nineetalez21
Basically my game keeps crashing every now and then, especially after 20 min afk sessions of grinding an attribute or just loading screens. I already checked the post about preventing crashes but it is over 12 years old and therefore i am not sure if it help, but it did not so far. Anyways, I believe it might be a problem with file conflicts or something similar. Can anyone who has more knowledge on this help me out? It makes playing the game a lot more frustrating since I lose a lot of time.
Pellape
Did you read my post about cleaning your Graphic Card from dust? If your comp is 12 years old, it might be filled with it and I have never dismantled a comp that is clean from dust. My game do crash but only ones every night but not as much as it did before I cleaned the fan on my GFs comp 3 days ago If this does not help. Put your complete mod load order here. Pellape
Oki. :) Well I cant say which one of those mods that causes your problems but what you can try to install is following: ENBoost with ENB v0.259 instead of the 4Gb RAM patcher as that is included with ENBoostxOBSE (7 years younger than OBSE and it works great) ;)EngineBugFixesPerformance SoundsSkyBSA in case you want to use fancy exchangers later on but this one is optionalAll those names are searchable at NEXUS as I linked them now 34 times, more or less... ;)

Pellape
Well why would you wanna install the older one if you now wanna try xOBSE instead https://github.com/llde/xOBSE/releases that is the latest available from this year?? I use it and Maskar recommend it as well. You install it with Wrye Bash or manually, just drop the files in your Oblivion folder. I installed mine with Wrye Bash. nineetalez21
alright, so i have moved all the files into the oblivion file, but Vortex does not recognize OBSE. Edited February 2, 2021 by nineetalez21
Pellape
Flush Vortex and use Wrye Bash. I have used Wrye Bash for 16 years now without problems, well it was called Wrye Mash for Morrowind though... Wrye still updates and support it and I chatted with him 2 days ago at Discord, so he is alive and kicking still. I do not know the purpose of Vortex really... Not if it gives you that kind of problems :D When I think about it... I cannot remember any other mod managers before Wrye made Mash. It might be so that he was the first to make one - I am not 100% sure though... Memory is an odd thing... :wink:I do recall it was not easy to install then but it worked perfect from first day I used it, after I managed to install it that is. Today it is extremely easy to install it. Bash creates a folder next to your Oblivion folder called Oblivion Mods\Bash Installers And someone did also point another mod manager to that folder as you can run how many mod managers you like... Well put your packed mods there after you installed WB Edited February 2, 2021 by Pellape
HadToRegister
I couldnt find a tutorial on how to install the older OBSE version. The installation instructions are right inside the ZIP file of OBSE.
