xannydave1102
While modding Fallout 4 I got a notice saying Vortex did not have permission to access certain files and it asked me to give permission with a administrator symbol next to it. I pressed yes but the window kept popping up over and over till eventually I closed Vortex all together and reopen it, which worked and the pop ups stopped happening. Two days later I try to open Vortex and it tells me to stop running this program as an administrator and I am unsure how to do this. How do I make it where Vortex no longer runs as an administrative program? I would try to attach a Snip It of the pop up I got but I pressed ignore so I could actually get into Vortex and now it won't pop up again. Yes if you were wondering I am a total noob at this. Windows 101 Right click on the Vortex Shortcut Select Properties----->Compatibility and UNCHECK "Run as Administrator" Next, in Vortex, go to SETTINGS---->MODS and check what your DEPLOYMENT METHOD is set to. It should be set to HARDLINK
