OddGuy
if the title didnt tell you enough, how do I make an NPC, and how do I make an island out in the middle of The Inner Sea that I need a boat to get to?
ThetaOrionis01
Can't help you with the island, but to make an NPC load Morrowind esm (or whichever masterfiles you want to use) into the editor, click on the NPC tab in the objects editor, right click on the list and select new. A window for your new NPC should pop up. Select race, class etc, give the NPC a unique ID and a name, choose the meshes for face and hair from the list, and add clothing and weapons. To do the last part, select the clothing tab, click on the item you want the NPC to wear, and drag it into the 'items' list in the NPC window. You can add armour, weapons, and other objects the same way.
breck
Islands: Furst choos a spot out in the see for the isel. Do this by louding a cell thats on the cost and draging the vuew way out over the sea. The vuew window will now read Wilderness #,# the numbers are your place on the grid. the grids infanite so you can go as far as you want. Now rename this cell on the cell window. Frome hear on use the tools on the landscape pallet thingy( open it by clicking the landscape butten on the control bar). Theas tools will let you rais or lower the ground level and chang the grounds textur. Play arowend with the tools for a wiyel to get used to them before you start for real. Peregrine
For the only by boat part, two options1) make it so far away that any sane person would give up instead of swimming for 3 hours2) add invisible walls (like the ones used in character creation) in a ring around your island, far enough out that with full view distance you can't see it. Omega6
thats cruel... some people might not notice that they are not moving and swim forever... i say... let 'em swim... its good for the Athletic skill, and if they don't have recall, or an intervention spell/scroll, or they happen to drown... ooops... we warned you... (also another nasty trick is to put a big bad slaughter fish that can't die protecting the island [i mean like a BIG and NASTY sucker, not some bottom feeder])
